well today i been and bought a 1.8 zetec for £60 i pick it up tomorrow, so over the week end i will strip it down clean it up and paint it

I can vouch that you wont be dissapointed when you get that engine in there my mates zetec powered xr2 fly's and it handles like a go-kart

the car did have a zetec in it before and it flew, and the misses old mk4 flew with a zetec in, can't wait to get it fitted once i cleaned it and painted it

well on saturday i cleaned the engine bay and give it a coat of paint, wasn't that bad just some bits of surface rust. also toke the battrey tray out ready for a new 1 only have 3 pics as i forgot the digy cam

well today i went to the local farm surpplys and got some post office red for all runing gear, got told it was hard wearing and very hard to chip so i'm happy, also got told a can paint my engine with it

iv got a bantam 2002 model in south africa! it looks like the zetec s in london (front part)! it was a 1.8 diesel so ive got the 1.8td imported from london! it came from a escort mk6! the diesel pump r bypassed because of the coding of the ignition! starting now but my glow plug wiring not working and my revcounter r dead 2! and my brakes r &#^$%# hard as hell! and i believe that it can do better! ive blocked the boost gate in closed position! ive turbo'd by old 1.8d and blown the turbo on it! but the new 1 puls good but i exspected more! pls help me!!!

well i havn't touched this since the last update due to me having to weld the misses escort up for test but now thats done i gonna crack on and get the front sorted.

added bouns is it's still got test till the 29th of this month

havn't updated this for months due to i can't be assed with it engine is all ready to be fitted but i wanna get the welding of wings and front panel first. fitted spax shockers, rear rollbar and most of front stuff with new bushes but thats it, only pics i have of is my exhaust

also bought a s/s exhaust and 4 branch for it that it.

Ive just done all the welding on my xr2 and now im just trying to finish all the little jobs! Its on here 3 or 4 pages back! Took me ages to weld it up as it wanted every bit of xr2 welding as usual!

Zetec engine will make it fun and let you rev the nuts off it!!

Keep it up as these little cars are becomming thin on the ground!!

bought some 50mm springs yesterday for it and they turned up today so will fit them this week end maybe, along with the front shockers i need to paint, have a chrome wiper motor cover and brake master cover to fit and some front and rear sturt braces when they come.
