My escort build. 31/05/10 duct !
well its my first little car and its a 1.4 cvh escort !!
its done 55000 mile and the engine is a non runner ?!
so got it and straight away riped off the black trim lol
then had a look underneath and is all really good !
only one thing needs a new feul tank !
so i thought about getting the engine out so got the exhaust off and
undone some of the bellhousing bolts
well i took one look at the 13inch wheels and thought they had to go lmao
so got a old set on 8 by 17s and got them on they will do untill the engine is done
then started on the engine bay so stripped it out and got the head off
its all in good condition it needs a good clean though !
the bores in the block wernt too bad so hopefully reuse it !
well thats as far as i got today but doing more tomoro so more pics

some wheels for her to sit on for the time being
now was time to whip the head off

looks good jim keep up the good work there mate keep us posted and them photos comeing tell harvey to get his finger out and get that engine built for you lol

well got some more done
got the bottom end out the car and stripped that down
the block is good just needs a rebore
but heres the bad news ! needs new pistions crank rods and shells
also started to strip the inlet manifold
so now gonna start cleaning everything up
and lay out all the parts im reusing
some more pics
my boox of bits!
gave a quick polish on 1 bit to see the proper colour compared to the faded much better eh !
thats all for now more soon hopefully !

well havnt had time to put pics up over the last few days done loads of work !
the head needed to be all cleaned out so stripped it down and gave everything a good cleaneg valves,springs,rocker arms every nut bolt washer and the atual head casing of course !!
well built it all back up now just waiting for a new cam kit !
lapped all the valves in aswell now theyre perfect
also did a bit of spraying did some of the brackets black
the inlet manifold was also looking a bit worst for wear so stripped it gave it a good clean on the wire wheel and looks much better !
well that all for now get my crank wednesday so more the hopefully!!

nice and flat for the manifold !
valve springs in !!
nice black lifting eye !
well just noticed i got no pics of ma inlet manifold so will post em up asap

good job tell harvey to go and look at that shell as i cant sleep at night wateing on his answer yes it good or no its a dogs cock talk to you soon jim in person as if its good i will be over to sort things out for it . p.s if i have time and you have that car finished we culd spin the tyres of it ..
