Yeah, they just clear on the rear with 205's. The arches have been trimmed right back, though. But yeah, it does all fit...just!

The floors finally finished, again! Not got pics of all the work as I lost my phone a few weeks back with some of them on.

I do like the Leda Blue colour but felt there was too much going on with the colours, yellow callipers, blue shocks, green ARB etc.

Still got the rears to do...

Loving the car but IMO the dampers need going back to blue or satin black

Redone the shocks in silver and am happier with them. Still think I prefer them blue, though...
Got some new Decals coming from Leda, cheers, Jon, to finish them off.

Sold them

Got to collect one of my mate on sunday and try and make some more, nightmare really didnt wanna start drilling the shell again. Plus they might not be as easy to do now the cage is mounted where the bolts for those rear ones fit. They were a bitch on my old shell for very little gain tbh!! Look good though. Trimming 1.5mm off the top of my compbrake front ones so the bolts fit the shell better.

Deffo need to make some more of those rear ones especially now

Yeah, I want to make up some rear jobs, as well. My fronts also don't fit quite as well as I like. Going to get them on the lathe while its apart, I think.

Dont be silly work can assist us both there! Pick the mount up sunday ill have it at the machine shop by monday ill get my mate on these for a rapid turnover. See how much the bearings are from compbrake. Exactly the same size as the front top mount so if you get 4 of those plus 4 m12x1.25 split nuts we will be laughing.

Ill send you a pic sunday eve, hope to have them back for friday

Hi, mate, mine were in good condition, thankfully. All they needed was a lick of paint and some new grease and boots. I think the ball joint is replaceable on these, though...

Few more bits done. Bolted up the new front brakes and clipped the looms away.

Then decided, as it was nice outside, to roll her outside, wash her down and do my sanding in the sun.
So, a few random pics I took as it looked nice.

No worries, Chris, I appreciate it.

I'm not sure when the topcoat will be on. I have the materials here, just trying to find someone who will spray it. It's in primer, at least. Lechler Ti Filler 2k high build. As I applied it with a roller I couldn't get in everywhere, hence the grey, and in some places, yellow high build can primer. I love this build!

Also fantastic to see a CVH in the engine bay.
A 3rd or 4th generation escort doesn't look as good with a Zetec under the bonnet.

Keep up the unreal work.

Cheers

Cheers, Perry. It's a ZVH, but at least it looks right.

Finished seam sealing.

Still needs a bit more flatting, as you can see, but it's nearly there. Topcoat is penciled in at the painters for a week on Saturday. Fingers crossed it gets there.

Spent another few hours prepping the car. Re priming the sand thoughs and priming the seam sealer. Can see a few of the test patches on the boot floor and tubs of the top coat.

The I figured, the primer went on well with a 4inch roller, why not the top coat...

Mixed some colour

Obviously needs another coat as this is just one and I didn't have time to finish it, but it's come out surprisingly well!

I've got a little bit of solvent pop here and there so will probably 1000wet and cut the final coat to tidy it up, and get an aerosol or two made up to get into the places the roller can't, but so far, I'm happy.

I have managed to do some bits to it, but I've been so busy at work ive had to just do bits as and when. I also had a drama with the gearbox leaking it's fluid which turned out to be a diff seal (even though they were brand new Ford jobs!) which meant taking the front end apart which led to me re-painting the driveshafts etc as they got a bit scratched

Well, the paints finished.

Excuse the wiring, that's what I'm currently working on.

The carbon foot tray needed chopping up to fit but I'm happy with how it turned out.

And a little more playing to get the lines right. (Bonnet corners sit better when actually bolted to the hinges!)

I've been following this thread for ages the car just gets better and better!!!

Just out of interest how much have you actually driven the car??

I seem to remember reading it's only been on the road for a short time??
