Car looks great mate, you have alot of attention to detail. Been following this for quite a while and looking forward to seeing it on a track

How much power and weight are you expecting at the end?

I've been a way with work for a month so haven't don't much to the car. I did, however, have a little gift waiting for me when I got back, which was a eBay bargain from the States.

A Tilton billet reservoir.

So knocked up a simple bracket out of Ali.

Also got a set of twin ignition amps on a bracket which I fitted which I was at it.
Then spent the rest of the afternoon stripping down my old Goodridge lines to go with the new layout and ordering new fittings which came to just shy of Ł250

I've done plenty of work on it, I just haven't uploaded anything.

It might be making an appearance on Sunday, we'll see

Yeah, it should be there, just waiting to hear back about the transporter I'm borrowing. I've spent a fortune on it the last week to get it somewhere near. At least it actually looks like a car now.
About Ł350 at Torques to finish the brakes, clutch and fuel system.
Bonnets in the paint shop, waiting for a call to say it's ready.
Sunroof delete panel from AH Fabrication which I'm hoping to have finished tomorrow.
Then loads of little bits like bolts, nuts and washers, heat shrink, paint, brake fluid all adds up.

The only pictures I did take were when I fitted all the Torques bits.

Parcel 1 of 3 when I realised as I went that I'd forgotten stuff.

Unfortunately not. I'm half way through building the engine loom which won't be finished then I need to buy a P8 ECU, hook up the car loom and get it mapped. I still need a few small parts like a coilpack etc but it's practically there. It looks a bit different now to the pics on here!

Picked up the bonnet this morning and to say I'm happy with it is an understatement! So glad I have found this printshop to do my work now. The quality is so, so good, and the price was very reasonable. Only got a few pics until I wash the car tomorrow, but gives a good idea!

It's just in paint drying over night then I can rivet it in place in the morning before the hours of cleaning and polishing start.

I think it's just about ready.

Cheers, means a lot. Shame it was so out of the way. A few people I bumped into asked where it was then after an hour bumped into them again and said they still hadn't found it!

Oh, well, had a good day. If anyone got any pics put them up as I forgot to take some!!

I didn't think many people did, it was a little out-the-way...

That's ok, mate. I know the feeling! I haven't really touched it in a while as I've been so busy at work. Still chipping away at the wiring loom when I can, though.

3 weeks off in December, so should be able to get it cracked.

Have you any pics of your dash install ?

Jesus its gonna be tight, first time i fully understood its fit until i saw yours last nght.

Wiring, meh not even bloody attempting that mysekf it does my head in, sure Karl will enjoy that job. Great progress though still itn really did look good, i hung around for a little while but wasnt even sure what you looked like lol. Be great if we both have working cars next year. Need a brake light switch like what i see you have fitted too.

How do you find the angle of the pedals with the floor mounted box ? Also is that a facet red top lift pump ? Got told mine wasnt good enough for my power levels etc

I'm chipping away at the loom during down time at work but it's hard not having the car nearby to test fit everything.

I'm on the Coy Boxing Team at work at the moment, so all my time seems to revolve around training inc. weekends.

This is the loom anyway, so far.

Using a ITT Canon Neptune plug and socket.

By the weekend I should have Ł200 worth of Reychem DR-25 and moulded breakouts waiting for me, along with the socket pins (as I ordered the wrong size last week!)
I've also got some waxed nylon cable lace to tie the loom together before it's covered.

Need a brake light switch like what i see you have fitted too. How do you find the angle of the pedals with the floor mounted box ? Also is that a facet red top lift pump ? Got told mine wasnt good enough for my power levels etc
I'll get some pics of the dash on the weekend. I find the pedal angles perfect. The seating position seems spot on. Yeah, it's a Red Top. I'm going for around 280-300BHP to start with so it should be fine.

I don't think I've seen your car in a while, mate. I'll have to have another look. Was one of the cars which I took inspiration from along the way.

I used that place because I already had a hole there from the loom before where the MAP sensor, Grp A coil and Ign Amp wiring came through. I tired to hide everything so no wires could be seen, same as I did with the lighting circuits etc. However, you can't have a Mil-Spec connector and DR-25 loom hidden away can you?
