Default My money/time wasting project

Well after few messages from members decided to start that thread finally. I ain't sure if I will be able to go to the end of that project, but at least I am giving everything for it.

Basically I am building a sort of clubman group A sapphire Cosworth which will be used on hillclimb events, forest messing up and so on. Final use has not been defined yet, but it won't be a track-car-only.

At this time here are the parts I got, but since 1 month nothing is going further since I have got no job at the moment

- Mountune "clubman" group A engine with T34 restrictor, antilag, water injection and air/air injectors. 300bhp, but 420 lbs/ft of torque at a very nice rpm. Has all the bits (pectel engine loom, big wing sump, complete breather system with wrc-like breather, mountune alloy sump baffle, aeroquip, 10 long studded block, wrc head gasket, and mountune parts everywhere where it is possible lol).

- Group A rear Bilstein mag coilovers with watercooled bodies, and incar adjustement (I still have to work on that point, because I haven't got any schema for this). And group A front 50mm bilstein also watercooled bodies with fittement for std hubs (a group A/N mix).

- Group A LHD sapphire quick steering rack (very rare!)

- Brand new rear diff Quaife 4.44

- Straight cut 5sp gearbox with syncros, with custom gear ratios

Have also more parts, but not really worth an interest yet, will update the list later.

Basically the car will have : complete square rear beam (gravel specs) with mag arms, AP front and rear gravel specs brakes (315 front and 285 rear), I will use the GEMS DA36 display which will be also a nice mod, will have also ex-works Ford Motorsport carbon seats which I have already as you can see :

++++ more bits. If anyone has for sale front 315mm late group A specs brakes with AP 4 pots caliers, please tell me.

Hope you will find interest in this post I know I do not have many pictures yet, but will come when I will find the shell !

I think Tim doesn't wants to trade with me as we had a small "problem" back in dec 2006, and since then he doesn't speak with me. Shame...

Thanks anyone for the comments, I will try to keep updating the thread, but yet I am a bit stuck.

A sapphire mate. Way far better in long fast curves than the Escort. And well I prefer the quiet look of the sapphire than the gay-look of the Escort

Thank you everyone for the comments.

It is with great sadness that I have to cancel my project. I cannot find a proper job now, and I had to make a choice between trying to find one for 1 more year, or directly start the high-school in september. I couldn't wait anymore to put my name on the school-list because there was a time limit and this means that in september I won't earn any money so won't be able to continue the project.

I am very sad after having spent quite some money into it, and lot of time including a 2 days trip in england to pick up some parts, but I want to go ahead in my professional life while I can.

So everything is for sale except the 2 seats which I will keep for my road saph. I am gonna start a thread in the for sale section later today.
