24v XR4i
this is a new project me and my mate leigh capri picked up today, its going to be mostly used as a track car and it's being built on a budget between the both of us. found the XR4i on ebay it set us back £127! and so far it's looking pretty solid! just needs a small plate on the chassis rail near the rear swing arm on the passanger side here's a few photo's of the car
already had a granny cossie tucked away just needed a shell here's a few photo's of the granny
got a little work done on the 4i when we got it back mostly just cleaning it up but here's how the engine bay is looking after half an hour with a steam cleaner
really happy with the way it's coming up can't wait to have some spare time to get stuck into it now.

just another update we have had the head lining out of the car now and some of the interior panels and done them in satin black to tidy them up as the car has been standing for a long while and they were in a bad state! but luckily they have came out wicked! they look like they left the factory that way! i'll get some photo's up of them refitted tomorrow but for now here's some more work we gotta take care of.

just a little update my father has been getting stuck in to getting the engine out of the Granny as me and leigh are in work this week, i like his style of engine removal!
he has had a little help from a friend in our street alan seems like everyone wants a go of chopping up the granny!
and the head lining and panels are painted and refitted
think they look a lot better than the cream colour they had turned! tomorrow should have some photo's of the engine out.

Cool project! You're gonna love the torque of the 24v
Your sticking a T9 on it? Forget about NOS then. I think the T9 can't cope with the sudden increase in power.
The thing is, some guys run the T9 on the V6 effortlessly, on some it turned to chocolate in no-time at all. I recall the T9 being able to handle to up to 230nM. The 24v is standard +/-270nM so if you want to drive it a bit after you finished it take it easy on the box. The MT75 would be more suitable option.
