2wd Sapphire cossie (G500 VRD)
hey
This is my moonstone blue cossie which i bought oct last year. since i have owned her i done a few things one of them was a full engine rebuild.
current spec is
T34 with .48 housing
Greens
3 bar etc etc
This is what was all bought
RS500 intercooler and raditor
New valves, valve springs and cotters
bronze inlet and exhaust guides
new ina tapets
new piston rings
small end bushings
crank reground with new mains, bigs and thrust washers
all new belts
new altinator
new high pressure oil pump
new water pump
balieys breather tank and fitting kit
speedo cable
samco coolant and ancillary hose kits
all new gasket with group a head gasket
engine bay was painted aswel as rocket cover and inlet
crome strut tops
Also was put together will ARP bolts all of them!
i done the rebuild a month ago and im nearly finished running the engine in ive only another 100mile to go.
im sure im missing somthing but anyway here is some pics

Engine bay all taped up and ready for painting

Oh and all the work was carried out by a few mates and myself which makes the finished product even more rewarding!

cheers aye ive only ever seen another car done and that was a moonstone blue 3dr on pistonheads and i wanted something a little differnt!
at the mo im doing the underneath im polybushing her as well new brake lines and flexy hoses, new disc's and pads, new suspension arms and track rod ends. im body shooting her aswel oh and new handbrake so she will be ready for mot next month!
future plans is full repspray with new door mouldings, GT30 turbo with aftermarket engine management system, sweedish inlet, 6pots and more power! lol

Real good effort mate!
I'm currently doing the same, although progress is slow as my block's being bored .5 oversize and the machinist is away for 2 weeks
