Same with the Imperial Blue escort (warren i think his name is) - The bonnet looks gash but if it does the trick then fair enough i guess?

Your car is quality though
It has made a hell of a difference on Warrens but still we had issues at Time Attack when that much heat is being generated in the engine bay its not healthy to keep it in there.... The bonnet got burnt again but not as much,we have heat wrapped what we can now so hope fully after a test run maybe the bonnet can have its 3rd coat of paint!!!!! Any way Mike your missing 1 row of louvres!!!!

I have had my manifolds coated (see previous posts ) and I have proper heat shields all round the car, so I sould be okay with the ones I wanted . Deliberately did it how I wanted, as I didn't like the angles on Warren's and wanted it to look different too .

Bonnet won't be painted until next week, so will be the normal one on for Sunday .

Mike have you considered removing the bulkhead panel between bulkhead / bonnet.

Would this not allow additional cooling by letting the air escape.

Not sure on escort but on my car the scuttle panel is vented so i can get a good dose of hot air out of this via removing the bulkhead panel...

Are you a spastic? Have you even LOOKED where my coil-pack is located in the previous pictures prior to passing comment? Looks like a "no", so !

What you mean is "You have now looked, rather than assuming" .

1. The control box is a sealed water-proof unit for the HIDs .
2. The injector wiring is also properly sealed in Raychem and the heat radiated from the header tank will keep this area dry .

Any other ill thought out criticisms you wish to make?

lol, no i had looked and viewed the coil on the passenger side, just not in enough detail compared to the bonnet, my bad. How is heat from your header tank going to keep the area dry when your car is parked up and cold, as its this time I would have expected the cold/damp electrical problems when you go to use it. Added to the fact once your running it your super vents are supposed to keep it so cool that it wont dry out. I personally would not have vented the passenger side so as not to risk introducing problems. These problems may not exist, I guess you will find out.
Much like fitting a 4Xcossie cooler and having cooling problems, or a Pro alloy monster cooler then having to add another water cooler. What is the root of your problems as I dont remember gareth lloyd running into all this bother yet its a T4 anti lag job or does he?

Mike I look forward to see how long your coatings last as for proper heat shields well I'll look forward to your excuses I wouldn't expect anything less from you when less louvers in a bonnet can create less heat under the bonnet..............

Martin,
I don't have any issues now, I just wanted to give the cooling system an easier time / helping hand, as Warren had advised of the significant improvements with his - and as Tesco says - every little helps .
