Rest of the trim next
Manifold fit, more boost...
I'm on it... Just juggling jobs...
Moving house last year has really slowed things down... We've done so much over the last year, I'm surprised I'm still breathing...
Whole of the outside of the house has been insulated, rendered, windows and doors replaced... Inside downstairs damp course treated, re plastered...
Upstairs were now having 2 of the bedrooms plastered...
It's come along way...
Taken last night
We're expecting our first littlen soon
Due date 2nd August ( Fordfair!!!)
I've bought my ticket I'm still going

Not much of a update just yet, but it's still progress
Retrim progress is slowly getting there, can't wait to bolt a complete 90's spec trim in... 8)
Had it out the other week to get a leaky tire sorted, just required resealing...
Once I have the rear seat back I can get it all cleaned up ready for fitting.

My list of things to try and sort this year...
Get the 90's spec retrim completed and fitted
Sort alittle wiring issue with alternator, we've had a back feeding issue since the build where the car runs with ignition off ( press brake pedal and it shuts down ) 2 minute job
Fit wrapped tubular manifold
Finally upto Efi parts with Andy and Scoff for map tweaks and boost increase
Look at the Brembos again for the front, and if there no good for my wheels I'll sell the Brembos on and try something else
Fit a couple of new bolts to intercooler brackets ( lost a couple )
Wire Innotive wideband gauge up
Try some new rear brake pads as I get a clicking at low speed?
Oil and spark plug change due I think
Change steering column bush (it's in the garage somewhere)
Maybe tidy underside paintwork up where needed for the shows
I've got a issue with my Alpine head unit when CD player is in use where the sound goes on and off, been told to try a extra earth wire
Head unit works fine using IPod hence I've left it
20.. Fit the Focus RS box

So today's work, the other week while I had the Orion out for its mid winter wash... It cut out while running, further investigation I found it had stopped charging on idle, but charged fine with the revs picked up...
So it's developed a dodgy alternator over winter...
No bother, I dug the history out and found the receipt for the 70 amp alternator I had from CES back in 2010, exchange unit Ł28.00 quid
A quick phone call for a replacement from them... There now Ł146.00 quid!!!
Straight onto eBay... A new regulator pack delivered Ł7.00
I'm not hard up but fu!k that for a price increase, Ł7.00 is a no brainier and worth a try...
So today I've fitted it while the alternator was still in place with ease... Within 5 minutes new one was fitted and working a treat again. 8)
Another quick job which was one off the list...
A couple of new bolts fitted to the top intercooler mounting brackets this time thread lock added...

Lol at the price.
I fitted a new regulator to the cossie cause my battery light seem to be on slighty.
I hate being ripped off with car parts so i always try the cheapest option first.

Looking great so far bud! Sorry if you have mentioned it but where did you source the 90spec trim from? I thought it was NLA?
Ive gone a slightly different route with mine now...new front seats are in but I'm already contemplating something else lol
In regards to your head unit issue, I would run a new cable to the battery and a new earth...If that doesnt help then I would say possibly something in the CD mech is shorting something if your saying the iPod works fine. Also had another issue with something similar where the MUTE cable was occasionally touching the head unit chassis and causing the head unit to mute so might be worthwhile checking that while the stereo is out
And one last thing, if you sell the Brembos, let me know what you are after for them, I might take them

90's spec trim was off Twins... I believe I've had all he had left now...
Head unit has done this from the off, so will try new power supply first, problem was I bought the head unit new and it sat in parts box for over a year, so warranty was out...
Will let you know about the Brembos
