Just read this whole thread tonight and its made me really miss my onion. A 90 spec ghia i! When I've had enough of the cossie i'm going to put an orion shell on it!! Well done and keep it up mate

Cheers. Engine didnt turn up on saturday. Been a delay in getting the sump done and the flywheel skimmed. Not to bothered as cant get it fitted this week anyway. Its all looking good though. . .

Absolutely love this car!! Just read the thread from the start! Doing a blinding job mate!!

I never thought about Moonstone on an Orion but it really suits it!

I used to have an Equipe totally identical to what yours was and I wish I'd kept it and built it into something special!

Keep up the good work mate, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished article!

Quick update. . . . Inlet manifold parts should be with me anyday now

I've now got front and rear strut braces for the Orion, hope the front one will fit 8)

Engine wise, just waiting on the sump to be done still

I've also gotta 170 mile road trip to make this weekend or next to pick up a couple more parts. . . 1 being a full s/s exhaust system

Give in and ordered 2 engine mounts from Ford in the week. . .
The one for this build is on back order

4-5 working days they reckon. . .
Have cost me £61 quid for each engine mount

Dash and centre console were dropped off yesterday for flocking

When I get these parts refitted I might get a few other interior plastics flocked. . . will see what it looks like first

Seen the update mate . . . you certainly going to town on the resto mate. . . your work looks perfect

It should fly, just want it running for some of the shows this year, then back off the road for winter and a few tweaks I think. . .
Bigger turbo, bigger brakes etc etc

Engine mount turned up tuesday

Taking the engine mount bracket into work next week for modding so it will bolt up to all 3 holes on the Zetec lump

Can collect my 2 toned flocked dash for this one a week on Friday

Dash collected

Got new Ford engine mount to fit

Had engine mount bracket modded to accept the 3 bolts that bolt to the Zetec

Steering rack is finally bolted back up with the new poly bushes added

And gave the zetec turbo'd Orion its face back

Freshly de-tango'd clear indicators and the new headlights all fitted

More pics to come now I got the camera working properly again :mrgreen:

Freakpower's hydraulic clutch pedal box has been installed :mrgreen:

Another little job I've got out the way. . . see all the dodgy foam round the heater vents

And all cleaned off

I know it seems like nowt but stuff like this does my head in, so . . .

Also taped round the vent pipes to stop any leaks

Engine should be getting fitted over the bank holiday weekend all being well

CTS stage 2 box given a lick of paint

Hydraulic clutch hoses through into the bay now, also chucked the speedo cable through now I've found it

Finally fitted the freshly flocked dash to it. . . Cheers again to Raj @ AutoFlock MotorsportLooks mint!!!

ECU ( Adaptronics ) mounted in the glovebox ready for wiring into the rest of the car

Screwed the fuse box down and give the lid a good clean 8)
