N/S is complete floor wise... so today I've turned it round. While out in the sunshine, thought it would be rude not to take some pics in day light.Give it a quick bath, was getting very dusty...

Just cant get over how straight the shell is... I've owned much worse MK2's nearly 10 years ago

Its mint in all the right places...

Thats just dirt round the fusebox hole...

MOT runs out on it in Sept , there goes the plan of just taxing it and going straight out in it mapping...

Looks pants on steelies.

Underside is taking shape though...

Note, Koni still to be refurbed and fitted this side...

Still not sure on wheel colour...?

No problems at all round the sunroof...

Boot still full of parts... must get round to making space for this lot up in the loft...

Seeing it like this, I sometimes think why am I changing the colour...

Its gonna look in Moonstone Blue...

Thats your lot for now... gonna try crack on again with it this week...

It was the First MK2 then, used to see it when i was at Dane Bank. Fook me thats a few years ago thinking back.

Also the MK3, that was silver if i am thinking correctly? Had GTI side skirts, and was it a Cossie front bumper or not?

I went Dane bank college in 1998-2000 ... Makes me feel old now...
The blue Orion was run round in primer for ages, then it went blue... but was a very poor job... I re-shelled it into the red one...

The silver MK3... Modded RS2000 front bumper.

Didnt you mate spray the Blue one outside and then it rained or something? Shame as was a really nice dark colour.

Thats the silver one i remember it being really low. Think i had my 220GSi Turbo when you had that.

Was done outside, but the paint reacted and wouldn't quite go off? It then all crazed
Found a mint shell in Car transplants in Winsford for Ł350 quid... Was a 1400 lx, engine was dead, so reshell the 1600 ghia into it...

Cheers for the comments...

Abit of a poor update tbh... Its all painted underneath . . . Got a new ( 2nd hand ) turbo bonnet, turbo front hubs are fitted with new wheel bearings, still gotta spray up the turbo fuel tank...

My fav bit of the update though...
Check these bad boys out now there refurbed in tungsten grey  . . . Cheers Ade for painting them... 8) Just gotta get the Goodyear eagle F1's fitted to them now...

There gonna look awesome on the car... Cant wait for the Orion to go in for paint

Heres the original shell I bought for my project, this was still a tidy shell, but it wanted abit more welding doing than the blue one and we think it had been in a bump at some stage, so it was stripped and weighed in...

That was another reason I had the blue one... the black one above needed new window rubbers front and back, now these worked out at something silly like Ł90 quid for the pair...
The ones in the blue one are like brand new...
I now have boxes of spares, which can't be a bad thing with a car of this age...

Heres a link for those who might be interested... This is the ECU we will be running the zetec turbo with...

http://www.adaptronic.com.au/products-e420c.php

I run a Adaptronics unit on my last project... http://bbs.scoobynet.com/projects-40...diy-style.html

It was spot on, a great peice of kit... my Mapper ( the brains behind it all ) did a awesome job on it...
Andy ( mapper, engine builder, painter lol ) will be helping me along the way with this project too...

nice little project you got coming along there should be a good laugh with the zetec turbo
very intrested in the ecu that you plan on running have you got a price etc and any info on it so i can pass onto a m8 as we are building a 4x4 mondy zetec turbo and are looking at every angle in which bits to use

Using the blue shell mate... the black one was wieghed in...

We used a Adaptronics ecu on my Impreza STi Type R. . . worked very well, and was alot better than the GEMS unit that was on it peviously... Also had one fitted on my sister's 5 Turbo. . . same again, run very well, drove like it was out of the factory but with alot more bhp...

Link to my Scooby build

http://bbs.scoobynet.com/projects-40...diy-style.html

Link to the Adaptronics website

http://www.adaptronic.com.au/images/website/head.gif

My sister's boyfriend is very good with his engines etc. . . he fits them and maps them, which is even better for my wallet ŁŁŁŁ

I already have my ECU stashed away. . .

was reading about the ecu on there site very good, got lots of toys on it which is very good
but didn't give a price ?
will be very intrested when your car is finished to see what power you are running
we are hoping for about 320bhp so we dont blow up the 4x4 running gear lol
the ecu is almost similar to omex and other one's
the only trouble is running that set up is who could be get to map it down here in cornwall not many tuners down this way apart from interpro bristol ,Alan jefferies plymouth ,ap motors plymouth and rk engineering st agnes.
could anyone of these be able to map that unit or not ?

Just need the software. . .

Last time I heard they were Ł600 quid. . .

I got mine cheaper than that, before they went up in price. . .

I'll try find out for you. . .

What the hell... a few More pics

Pics of the Rear end polybushed  Dont worry about the drums / hubs being rusty... They'll get a lick of paint soon for the time being until a rear disc conversion is sorted...

A couple of areas will want touching up underneath, which I will leave til it comes back from paint... Going in this month

Cossie discs got alittle paint too, just want the faces cleaning up...
