Black 3dr - Underside toys
#2443
Starting to work through the small jobs now, got one of the oil feed to filter pipes made up with a new fitting as the old Torques one was shit. shortened the oil return pipe off the separator as it was sitting on the piss.
Got the reservoir cover back and it smartens that corner of the engine bay up
Removed the scuttle to do a small repair then opted for satin black paint over Gtechniq C4 and the results look loads better so treated it to a new set of clips and screws
Rear bumper is with the painter but that's got new numberplate lights and moulding trim.
And a couple more spare for other jobs, gearbox seals, LSD Supra diff sticker for when the rear cover is repainted and a clutch bearing whilst the box is out, downpipe heat wrap and replacement boots for the adjustable rod ends.
Found a battery graphic kit in my spares box so.....
Some pics of the finished steering part and clutch conversion
And i've had this great idea of making up an A-pillar pod using an old 63mm single pod i've had for years to fit my boost controller then adding a 52mm underneath that for my AFR gauge using a pod adapter never used fibreglass before so this will be interesting
More updates soon, hopefully a completed car

Well it's kind of come to a stand still, i need to get the box, diff & prop in then it's virtually ready. I fitted a used master cylinder for the clutch conversion and it leaking has been in the back of my mind so i've bought a Girling seal kit to make sure it's right.
Wrapped the downpipe today, this i'm not sure about but i thought due to the master cylinder being close it needed it but we'll see
Bumpers not touched yet but the parts keep rolling in, bought a spare front grill so that can go for paint too, 6mm spacer for the rear dropping the offset down to ET24 which is more 3dr stance.
Changing all the silicon vacuum pipe for 4mm rubber so the whole air line setup is being swapped including small clamps and i'm going to plumb the standard dash boost gauge in too, should be interesting to see what that does with 38psi going to it.
More updates tomorrow

Jeff I was going to leave it but i picked up a genuine Girling rebuild kit for Ł10 so may as well rebuild it but need to do it when the car's in the air as it's hidden away behind the heatshield which i'm not removing as i have to take out half the bay

Not a chance mate, keep changing my mind if to put on the road or not but i'm off work in 3 weeks so if i get everything finished to the point it just needs a boost check then i may put on the road this year, if not then i'll just leave it - more than anything i just want it moveable as i haven't really the time to use it atm.
What about yours could it be ready?

I've had that before and it was imperial pipe and metric fittings!

I did my hole fuel system and a fair bit of my cooling / breather system with the stuff and will use torques again as it's been spot on!
The imperial pipe was a small problem resolved quickley
