Our lass has had the weekend off so had to spend some time with her this afternoon saying as i'll be neglecting her tomorrow to go to the show lol.
Just hope the weather's ok.

Still waiting on my bumper being painted as theirs too many shit old car's that are taking longer to restore than originally thought.
So i've been doing the odd small job, the gearbox had the slightest of weeps between the tail section and transmission casing so thought i'd strip down and build back up so all sealed and hopefully leak free.
Almost finished
Just need to order a replacement selector boot and it's done
Changed all the silicon vacuum lines for rubber and clamped down
And copied Jonno and made a pair of support brackets for the underside of the cooler
And big thanks to RSMAT for sending me this to place the new one i dropped and cracked cheers pal

I love they way you get stuck in Chris I remember back a few years back most good projects were cheque book/credit card cars but the resto section is abundance of quality threads with yours yours and jeffs are some of the best for me the resto section is the best room on the forum
Well i wasn't expecting my rear bumper to be painted for some time but i got a text today asking me to drop by after work so i get there and the bumper and my spare grill is painted including my A-pillar pod so thats a massive bonus. The bumper just needs a light polish up before i can take away so it looks like i'll have it back Tuesday then fit the new numberplate lights and moulding.
The pillar pod is something else i'm made up with it, i was going to have a go myself but i left it to a mate to do as he's spot on at this sort of stuff so i can now run the 52mm AFR gauge and the 60mm boost controller as i didn't want to loose the clock or indicator display from the centre dash.
From the pic the lower part is level with the top of the dash so will fit just above it with perfect angle for the 52mm gauge with the 60mm in the top, it still retains the original screw hole he just added a small tube through it.
Not the best picture but you get the idea, it's getting painted in a texture paint then blown over with a close as possible colour to the standard plastic moulding.
As the gearbox was finished i thought i'd repaint it so it's minty mint for when it gets refitted and new slave cylinder fitted.

Well their's a good chance the car will be finished by today
The box, prop and exhaust going in today so that's pretty much all the big stuff done then just double check everything is tight fill it with fluids and it's ready to fire.
Got the A-pillar pod finished and i have to say looks pretty good with the gauges fitted
60mm top & 52mm bottom

Big update, still not finished
I have been trying to sort the wiring out for the shift lights but i'm struggling finding the correct plug to fit in the back of the EBoost2 but i'll keep trying.
had all the interior out for a clean so double checked the master cylinder condition before i put fluid in as i didn't want leaks of brake fluid on the interior carpet, all was well so the pedal all fitted up and the system bled, i'm pretty sure i got all the air out as the pedal feels ok pretty much the same as my Corsavan, it may need a slight bleed when the engine is running as i don't know until then if it's going to engage correctly.
So i've started putting the dash top back in after tidying the wiring but i'm held up with the shiftlight wiring issue.
In the mean time i've wanted to update the rears for ages, i did have another 300mm kit but wasn't good at all so opted for one of the MT Motorsport 320mm kits and the quality of all the parts is great - all fixing and hoses, ap bolts etc fits up perfect and look the bollocks, the blue is similar to goodridge blue so i'm having the silver bells/brackets anodized the same to match

Got the interior sorted which virtually finishes everything on the list, just a pity it isn't another month as it may have made Ford Fair - bumpers now on but.... all the wiring behind the dash is well organised now including all the wiring for the new gauges
