actually started to make up the top mounts i have laser profiled, just need to have the centre bearing holders turned yet, but you can see the shape after I tig welded the two halves together, and made a few spares




not a massive update - but its a slow project a the minute !

Hey mark,you not speaking to me anymore?I got hold of some springs from eurorally as they are 5 minutes away,so thats sorted now.
I would like your help to put my compbrake bias pedal box in my mk2,and also run the braking system on braided lines if you have time?

if not skline i quess at quaife then also why dont you use a ally grp a rear diff mount rather than steel ?

i wouldn tuse quaife products anymore, they used to be good, and the diff mount is no heavier than the group a alloy item, only lighter in the pocket once you have bought one !

top mount bearing carriers,
after a few hours on this

i came up with 8 of these

with circlip groove to hold the bearing in over jumps

bearing in

makes a rear top mount

all WRC style strut tops now finished and electroplated,

front type

rear type


can now start putting the temporary bilsteins on now, just awaiting the front WRC TCA's to come back from the machine shop

so you can have a few of th bits back for you car ian now

small update, the rear suspension is now built and tacked in place, obviously no alignment done yet, but heres some pics from today.

hello mark your car build is comeing along well mate there is some real nice mods going into it and the rear suspension set up is trick looking.. i was wandering how i was going to my front bumpber on my car and i see you have used bonnet type catches thats a good idea as it will be easy to take of ..
