you need it to do exactly what Nissan designed it to do, RWD when both axels are the same speed, 4WD when there is a speed differential i.e. the rears are spinning apply drive to the front.

Slip is slip, and when its slipping your heating the clutch pack, don't get me wrong, it is designed to do this, but not for hours on track at a constant slip, its like riding the clutch on your car.
The skyline slippage was only designed to allow slip until the wheel speeds had re-equalled.
The Skyline box cannot do 60/40, it has not got a planetary gear set. What your calling fractional torque is simply slipping the clutches, not torque split.
The Skyline system will transmit 50/50 drive front to rear, it cannot permanently deliver 60/40-30/70-70/30 or anything in-between.

A few people have been asking about TIG welding recently and after giving a bit of advice some images to help along.
The thing I found with TIG, the more you do the better you become. That goes for AC and DC. What I have noticed with TIG rather than MIG is there are so many more variables to set/adjust to get nice clean welds, it has taken me a good few years to find a tungsten I like, the same goes with machine settings.
I probably weld maybe 8 times a year, but when I do its usually for a a few hours a go. So I get good at ally welding, then leave it for a few months then have to re-learn all over again.
The TIG I did this overflow breather tank is a Chinese import that I paid Ł350 for brand new in the box from a UK seller. I have had quite a lot of stuff from him over the years and think for the money you cant go wrong.
As for the car, its still happening
It lives here
This sounded awesome in the forest
Centre diff hydraulic oil tank
I made the brake brackets at work, the car now has all brakes working
Front diff project, slightly nearer, still work in progress
Some randoms

After being supplied the wrong clutch plates I had Super Clutch changed the splines for me, great service and a great price.
Final managed to machine the skyline front bearing housing and make an adapter to fit the Titan concentric hydraulic release bearing, cannot be doing with these cheap road car hydraulic units that fail as soon as you give them a competition clutch.
Might get these two together soon, just awaiting a starter, had three wrong ones, and the one that should fit cant get till next weekend
