Default my mk3 xr3 budget project

heres my new xr3 that ive just got,

my plans are to put my old s1 turbo engine in it & loads of chrome just to make it look nice under the bonnet,
ive got a rear rs1600i spoiler coming soon so that will look smart, im also on the look out for a front spoiler if anybody knows of one
ive also got a set of escort cosworth alloys thats sittin with brand new tyres on so i'll bang them on aswell
i dont want to spend loads of money as im still doing my other escort thats draining me every month but i just want a bit of fun before my escorts finished & sell it in the summer

heres the pics

ive tried the alloys on but they stick out a bit & it look like a monster truck so i'll find some place that will machine them down a bit & get some 2nd hand suspension next time im home from offshore

cheep...very cheep im just using this one to get all my leftovers in one peice as i cant even give away my standard rs turbo engine & i put brand new toyos proxes on them escort cossie alloys so i'll never get my money back for them either so i'll put it all on this & use it & get rid next year

my other mk3 escort will be the mad one

a 2.0 zetec is cheap as chips a used set of 40's Ł100, mate of mine pretty much did the same & went like fuck for what it was & so reliable too, used daily, ragged all the time, never missed a beat

well it did blow up in the end but only cos of the way it was used

Hi Wim,

I've been collecting parts for the project the last few months.
And dismounted part of the car. Unfortunatly my garage isn't ready yet, so I can't get on with it. Hope to begin welding in 3 weeks tho!

I now have:
- Koni with springs
- All the body parts I need
- RS1600i engine (will be running on carbs)
- Double 36 webers
- New dashboard
- And lots more

This is how it sits now!

Cheers

If it's solid and complete without T&T I'd still be interested in a swap just now.... Golf needs a bit of a tidy, kit refitted, good clean etc but is a good solid car, just not my cup of tea to be honest
PM me if interested and perhaps can talk further...
