Default Sprintex Sierra

Well thought i would post the crappy pics i have of my car. and start a project thread. Its a Ford Sierra GLS 2.9 V6 1990

Have very little history but it is one of 14 2.9's with a sprintex supercharger built by power engineering.

It had been stored in a barn for 6 years before i bought it. so its in need of tlc

having problems removing heat from the engine bay atm so am on the hunt for a cos bonnet and grill. me and dad are still trying to decide what direction to take, strip and track prep it or get up2 top class condition and use it soley on roads which we will feel is a waste.

I remember a couple of articles in Performance Car and Fast Lane when they came out - they were supposed to be about 230/240bhp IIRC - I'll have a look - Mark Hales tested the PE one.
Derek Bell had one as well

Yep just found the article on the Sierra and it says that as well.

Saw a V6 XR4i 2wd at the local bypass filling station a while back with a Sprintex fitted. Was chatting as we were filling up as I used to have an XR4i.
When we pulled out it just drove away from my 328

I would have loved that car

Proper rare bit of car there 1 in 8 I beleive. This is the 3rd 2.9 kit I've seen now, but the first that has been intercooled.

I see it has had the addition of the intercooler. do you know if this was carried out by PE or someones afterthought.

Intercooled with a few tweak this should be easily churning out 260+ and torque that peaks well over 300lb/ft under 3k rpm

Totally jealous, I had to build my 2.9 supercharger kit from scratch as I could never find this kit

Awesome kits and loving the sleeper look although i'd be tempted to spend a bit of money on an RS kit and a vented bonnet
