Finally got round to ordering my centre push clutch kit. Been meaning to for ages and seeing 'Fostersice' post about him fitting one to his Mk2 i got on the phone to Burtons.

Arrived today and looks a nice bit of kit

Also took some pics of the bulkhead mods now I've refitted dummy engine and bolted on downpipe. The pics show a standard 3 inch pipe but shows theres plenty of room for 4 inch one.

And an overview with engine in.

Also had a play with the lathe again and made an airbox adaptor for my friends Escos airbox lid to take a 102mm hose for his GT35

UPDATE 29-01-10

After speaking to Jim @ JKM about injectors/mapping, I decided to go the same route as Luke and fit a FJO Injector Driver to allow the Emeralds high impedence output to be used on low impedence injectors. Jim did explain, but tbh its way over my head

EDITED: Because I'm stupid

Ordered from a place in Florida, due here on 03-02-10 according to FedEx Tracking

Ryan can now finish the interior part of my engine loom and wire this in all nice and tidy for me.

Got a set of Siemens 83LBs of Si B

And sold my ST inlet and got this one off Trev. Comes complete with spacer and fuel rail modded to take -6 fitting. Even has the boost/fuel pressure sensors for the SPAs I bought of him still fitted

Bit more fab work going on....

Fitting extra bars on cage to make door bars into crosses, which will also help provide mounting points for dash.

Modifiying front strut tops to take eccentric top mounts like i have fitted at the rear.

Original strut top

Removed

Plate made to take alloy mount

Welded in place

Looking at making an alloy spare wheel holder this week to mount onto rear cage...

Cheers Ronnie They will fiot straight on the front of your 3 door under the strut top like i had them mounted on Shonky. You will probably need a shorter coil spring though as i changed from a 10inch to an 8inch one to get ride height ok.

They won't fit on the back of yours silly

i know they wouldnt fit on theback of mine without chopping, i'm not that stupid lol

cool, i'm just trying to work out how to get the front of mine sitting right with the bilsteins, the guy who i bought them off used the compbrake top mounts and it sat ok so i'll just buy them, looks like ive sold the 909 mounts so all is good

looking forward to seeing the KA and i'll jump on luke's band wagon and say GET IT PAINTED

Strangely when my mate got his one of these it caused nothing but problems and ended up being removed.

I don't know the in and outs of why but it wouldn't run right with it and worked perfectly without it, on Emerald with a Ryan Loom too.

if them injectors are left over from Si B's cossie then they are low inpedance (if he was still on weber ecu) so why would you need to use a high impedance driver?

Told you Jim confused me

The Emerald gives a high impedance output, so the FJO converts its to enable the use of large low impedance injectors.

Must be nearly ready for paint now. Only 10 weeks to go for central day.

Took the last large part in for painting today. Should all be ready next weekend.

Works like a dream on mine with Emerald ECU and the same injectors as Mr Richie, so she should be ok.
