MK3 Estate Sleeper-SHELLS FU*&ED, RIP!!!
Well as you guys may know my last sleeper build went from this...
To this....
then to this after only 6 months of ownership...
At the point it got torched i vowed to never do one again, but after looking at modern cars i jut couldnt face the boring reality. So, what should i do next? hmmmmmmm.....
Now i also own a mk1 Escort, i owned a MK2 Escort when i was 17, and ive owned 3 mk4's but the one i always wanted has always proved elusive in good nick and they were rare when new...
Ladies and gentleman, i give you my latest sleeper project( )...........
Its a 1983, 2 owner, 55,000 mile 1.3L, 2 door MK3 Estate, and its bloody stupidly mint i tell you!
Got it for a very good price and i cant wait to get my mitts stuck into it.
First jobs to do are de-chavving.The guy who owned it before may ooked after it well but his taste on a few things are a little bit worrying!
So before i start collecting the Turbo mechnicals, the first jobs are....
Remove Boot spoiler
Remove Spot lights
Remove Backbox
Remove TURBO D badge
and most importantly of all, SOME SEXY S1 Wheels
Absolutly hate GTI wheels
So there we go, will try and get you guys some good pics in the daylight tommorrow, and can also get the backbox changed.Went into my local motor factor and they had a standard backbox on the shelf for only £16 So that can go on tommorrow as i will be driveing this one while i collect the bits for it
And yes guys, this one will be getting the full mint up under the bonnet like my silver one
More tommorrow

My first car was a 3 door Mk3 A reg 1.3L! Loved it and spent a bloody fortune on it!
They're so rare now.... looks like you got a good 'un too (minus the tat all over it! )
My old and new ones are on this thread.... and a lot of others for some inspiration if ya need any
