My mate Phil is makeing me a front bumper, using a Kevlar WRC to chop up lol

should look a bit like this when done

Ok.. Kev found himself a WRC front bumper.. Its not the best condition but to be fair he's spent shedloads already and when you are gonna fabricate parts one way or another your gonna want them pretty cheap!!

We have the WRC bumper and my old RS bumper to make something different with or if humanly possible as close to a Maxi bumper as we can

Plan being to use the sides and bottom section of the WRC bumper and graft it onto the same area on the RS bumper.. In an attempt to re-create the look of the Maxi bumper..

It's going to be a rough ride as it's not an easy task, There will be lots of bracketry being made and fitted and also the usual blend off F**ks and S**ts etc :laugh: :laugh:

Firstly Kev, I need your consent that you will allow me to absolutely rape and abuse your WRC bumper with no crying or remorse after.. Do i have your word

popped up to the car today whilst P and Phil were working on it

i couldnt stop long but progress is good

all four wings are on and dummy fitted side skirts to get an idea of how to fit them

I was well impressed when i left, looking really good i think

just a thought, but should you not be putting escort cossy sideskirts on rather than GTI ones? as they look a bit odd where they meet the arches

Bloody hell that shifts! its very agile too..changes direction superbly through the corners......

You're gonna need a hydraulic handbrake though to drive like that lunatic...look @ back wheels theyre locked through almost all of the corners

2.3 delivered today, soon to be stripped and sent to engineer for machining, dip stick has to be moved to other side of the block plus a couple of other things to do to it

Update lol
went and picked up an RS2000 today and you'll never guess what lol
got all these parts on it
Bias hydraulic pedal box
Alloy header tank and alloy power steering tank
Quick rack PAS
Hydraulic hand brake
Bilstein GrpA coilovers
GrpA engine mounts
Combined alloy. water / oil and power steering cooler (i wouldnt like to even price this item pmsl)
massive four pot front calipers
side exit maxi exhaust with Grp A 4/1 manifold
shell = a fully seem welded shell with a cage thats just simply awesome
plastic side slide windows (not home made but the real deal must have cost a bloody fortune lol)

Ive let my good mate Sam have the shell, wouldnt have let it go but Sams a good mate and Ive got his Zetec Turbo engine set up here that ill be putting in it for him
update on my shell next week lads

The yellow one is the same as mine apart from a few cage differances

But my cage isnt finished as yet, we'll be working more on my cage in a few weeks

I couldnt justify quiting the shell ive built because the money and time n effort put into it

I was going to store the yellow one, but Sam loves it and it'll be great fun having his on track with mine now, I know he'll turn it in to a cracking car
