Marco's failed up at croft, could have been quite nasty, can't remember the exact reason, but it looked like the ball joint had come loose, just have a word with marco, to make sure they are safe mate, I 'think' marco had them modified.

I'll have a chat with him, I know it's nothing major but they need as with anything else on a track car constant maintenance/checking

Hi bud

yes that is true one of them did fail (the passanger side ) and that was because the nut at the front of the arm came lose , then it acted like a sliding hammer which then pulled the rose joint clean out of the treads

i had the rose joint sleve made 20mm longer with a 20mm spacer

now it still needs 5mm taken off to fit them inside of the tube

i still rate them as they dont move and they are metal to metal you cant go wrong

i know you wont be able to get much camber on them but you can get a bit which is better than nothing

the problem with the zoo arms is they are great coz they dont move but what that means is it puts more force on the arms itsself.
the std ford arm apparently have huge twisting force resistance because of their pressed shape where as any tubed arm just cant match the same twisting force.
i had fiesta freny arms which are std with rose joints and they took some abuse with no worries at all.
there is nothing to come undone on them

small update but big one coming next week

heres me cossie arches

cossie side skurtts in box givin them to marco lol and roof panel in other box being fitted next week

genuin RS side skurts

lots more to come next week

not grate pics from today as i forgot totake pics at the end when finished as i was knakered from doing me mates head gasket

but new roof is fitted and next is the body kit

surface rust on cage rubbed off easy enough and had a coat of primer before new pannel went on

big thanks to Phils mate P for grafting all day

heres a 2.3 ive picked up witch ill recondition for the turbo block

and some track plates lol

also got the 2L block back from being acid dipped and rehoned

new front wings fitted on this weekend

the only part of the body kit fitted was one rear arch as time ran out on the day but next visit will se all the other arches fitted then its all body work prep then on

I got mk5 doors for it as most Maxi's Ive seen run Mk5 doors as they have no reinforcement bars in so i got the Mk5 doors then found out they're Mk5b doors and have the bloody bars in pmsl
