Been back at lock up today with Sam armed with a welder, plan was to fit seat bars and finish welding turrets in.

But realised some more had to be removed from floor pan, the original seat mounts etc were in the way as Sam said they would be lol

tucjk ages, when finshed gettin um out started to do turret and electric went up the lock up and by time got it fixed was knackered and went home lol

some pics -

Trial fitted seat before mounting bars welded in

more soon.

update - 99% finished ready for paint now, all internal floor work done today and also finished one of the turrets welding.

was quite hard to take pics of the seat bars as we had primerd and thiinly stone chipped the floor but heres a few of the floor -

then the what I though looked very sexy bit, seats in and mocked up with harnesses to check all positioning was corretc - looks ace!!!

harness bars are perfect -

then the very cool bit, seats.........

Seat positions taken from measuring sams rally shell, spot on I think.

getting there, more soon.

it's an I4 bud

brief spec

2.2 stroker - 2.3 block, 2L Crank (steel or LnB Knife edged have both) LnB fly wheel, Steel rods, Cosworth forged pistons built to 13:1 c/r, 2L worked head, Maxi cams, adjustable cam sprockets, uprated springs, solid lifters, Pace Dry Sump, 4-1 manifold one off 2/12 to 3" bore, 45mm Jenveys etc etc

2L Maxi blocks ran 280 BHP, I'm building 2.2 stroker but with what I think is better spec than the maxi 2L and aiming for 300+.

they claimed 305 hp, just trying to think what inlets they were using, barrels or slides, i think it was slides they used on the late big power ones and were in the area of 285 bhp, they never made much more

there is lots of dyno sheets at work ill have to have a look through

think they changed the inlets from barrels to slides or vice versa dependant on the surface of the rally, gravel, tarmac

they ran slides on the late ones, I doubt this'll make the power I want on it's first run out the box but it wont be shy either.

ill get the fucker to 300+ as ill develop it there as I know its achievable, if it wasnt i wouldn't be trying.

would have chosen slide for this but couldnt find any available but when a set comes up ill get um if possible at the time.

Are you sure the Works wheels are 108 PCD?

The centre bore is also massive compared to standard Ford!
