Havnt decided what I'm doing fully yet gus, needs and inner skin made for it though 1st lol. Met him in services instead as was a fair treck lol.

right a nice update at long last, car is getting towed down to norfolk 2mo for a fully welded cage, through to turrets etc etc, with poss of having some adjustable rear arms and adjustable top mounts made + in process of having the flared wings made so hoping to look a bit better when i get car back in a couple of weeks
phil @ carbon delight is in the process of flaring my front wings to cover the wheels, i just need to confirm how i want it finished

went and collected car today as now has a cage done by alachi who does work in the old skool ford scene which looks great in my opinion and has really stiffened the car up, surprised the difference its made to the flex in front end just by rocking the car lol. heres a few taster pics for now although i forgot pics of cage into front turrets lol

He made me a disc of it being made etc with around 100 photos but I forgot it lol. Will try and get some more 2mo when taking out glass and masking it up etc for paint sunday

well ive had a busy day up the garage today and should have some progress to see 2mo. ive decided to go the old 1 step forward 2 steps back route . ive now decided being as im having new flared wings, the rs1700i boot, louvered bonnet etc im going to have a full respray starting with interior 2mo. today ive stripped the doors, bonnet, boot and wiring out the car, prepped the cage and floor etc for paint, taken windows out and masked car so shall see updated 2mo

clear over colour the same as the body, going to get myself black carpet to go in though as cant stand bare floot pans lol.

need to make a dash or something tough as was hoping i could scribe dash round cage and get it back in but door bars are in the way

may be ideal for you to hack up to work out were you need to cut for the cage ?

been busy lately after work and now have new have a new front end, my flared wings are done (hope you like??) nothing is fitted yet as done some repairs as sotted little rott to tol of inner wing under scuttle panel so cut out part of scuttle to allow me to access and weld it up lol

quick update as new front end gone on with custom wings, found bit of rott in inner wing and annoyingly had to cut out scuttle on order to get to it lol.

cheers mate, new front panel is now on along with the bmw gased bonnet hinges, louvred bonnet, inner wings back to bare metal and half the engine bay seem welded atm, just need to find some incentive to get back up the garage and crash it out lol.

being as its been a while ive decided to pull my finger out and crack on with the car. Ive sold the over gearbox manifold and have ordered a devil developments as i ran out of room, purchased a gt30, tial v44 wastegate, gt30 fitting kit, baileys pre turbo filter (not sure if i can fit it in the line somehow?) new suede 3" deep dish steering wheel and modified RS motorsport centre and boss to fit. engine bay has been seam welded and repainted, quaife fitted, pedal box all sorted and blead up, engine in, seat bars welded in and new sparcos fitted along with 6 point harnesses, aero catches cut in bonnet, oil cooler fitted. All pretty much done under bonnet now just waiting on new manifold so can bolt up the turbo and alter the downpipe and have wastegate/screamer fitted and then wings, scuttle and door painted, hopefully back on the road very shortly cash permitting lol.

cheers mate, kind of lost motivation and with my trade being quite work isnt constant anymore so hard to fund the car, but suddenly got the urge to get it done, prob central day that gave me the boost and start of the car meets again lol

as promised some updates are long over due, so heres a few pics of the car as it stands now. starting with a video of the first start up in 2years


new manifold from Devil Developments and GT3071 mounted + oil cooler (to be mounted yet):



engine bay, been seam welded, new front panelchassis rails smoothed and quaife fitted in the box along with dave mac shafts:


roll cage, new sparcos, new harnesses, seat bars, pedal box and extinguisher etc:

steering wheel modded to get back retro look



remaining front end awaiting paint:

as soon as funds permit ill be having front end done along with dowpipe modded to fit, wastegate/screamer fitted and my new hks B.O.V put on and then some mapping hopefully quite soon if all goes well lol.
