Smallest update ever I think?

I've been looking for a Maxi/F2 spoiler for an age, and the only one I can find that I like is the one thats used on the Puma rally car and as such it costs nearly as much as the car...

While round at my mate Dave's the other day I spotted some spoilers he's got kicking about, my first responce was my usual pisstake... but one kept drawing me back, it's not normally the sorta thing I go for, but Dave kindly let me bring it home to try it out for size.

Ok take no notice of the white strip in the middle thats just some gaffa tape holding it in place... I think it really works, I know it's going to get slated by certain quarters but I dont care I think it goes really well with the look i'm going for...

I'm not sure. I can't help but think it's not quite enough. The height of it is ok, but I'm not sure it's 'chunky' enough for the rest of the bodywork, with the big arches?

WRC Spoiler needed mate im affraid im not keen on the one u have put on looks abit cheep compaired to the rest of the car. Sorry mate just givin u my opinion

Nah I dont want it to look like a WRC or Cossy rep any more than needs be, thats why I didn't go for a either...

It just about follows the line of the rear pillers so it doesn't really need to be chunky (I hope)

your doing some nice work on the body kit but the spolier is a no no

i dont think it will work with the final look of the car

like or dislike i think it needs a wrc style spoiler to match the wide body ect

just my opionion

Been playing about today... Almost ready to go in the paintshop.

First, the rear bumper, rubbed down the fiberfil, gave it a coat of filler, rubbed that down, and gave it a second coat...
Also to make it look a bit more uniform I decided to cut the back out of the reccess...

The spoiler wasn't far out as you will have seen from the last update, all I needed to do was fabricate some base plates, mount the spoiler to the plates secure the spoiler to the plates and then fill the gap...

Then the same proccess as the bumper, rubbing down and filling, and they currently look like this >

So i'm pretty much there, need to rub down the filler on both the bumper and the spoiler and then I can get it ready to take it too the bodyshop, where they will look at my handywork, shake there heads, pull there hair out and generally moan like fuk at all the sorting out they need to do before they paint it.

I've never gone with convention, and the fact no one likes it makes it all the more appealing to me...

It's a marmite spoiler, it's either gonna be loved or hated with a passion.

Me? I like it, as I said before I really don't wanna go down the Cossy/WRC route, and other than paying £300+ for a Maxi or F2 Puma Spoiler im screwed. I think once it's painted it'll look far better, and i'd rather spend £300 on making it go faster or stop quicker.

If not then it's still in the original mounting holes so not the end of the world.

That said if someone wants to donate a FREE F2 or Maxi Spoiler, then feel free to PM me
