i had to save it i like the car 2 much just to break it for spares,

the work shown is only a small amount of whats getting done

they need to take off the front wings both sides to put the new sills in after they have repaired/replaced chassis rail i think it is and some of
the floor, then they have to do the wheel arches both sides and a rear
light surround

Lovely colour - didn't know the RS2000's came in that colour.

Im surprised how bad the rust is to be honest, but atleast your getting it seen to now so that the shell will last longer.

What arre the plans once it leaves the body shop?

rumour/extensive research by a friend has it that only 27 auralis blue 4x4 RS2000's came to the uk!

yeh the rust is bad, i dont even live by the sea i live in the midlands

plans for once all the body work is finished are a set of ST170 front brakes, some new suspension which will be a set of original ford and some lowering springs or coilovers and then i really want to 2.3 it but i found an engine recently and my parents said i couldnt keep it at home

oh and the biggest thing when its done will be to drive it got a fiesta RS1800 im using at the min and although the fiesta is pretty quick its just not as nice

2.3 is from either galaxy or scorpio, galaxy is probably better as the oil dipstick is in the right place for fwd, then you juse use the RS2000 sump and cams and a few other bits, gives a massive increase in torque which is what my 4x4 could do with

nah they are different, people have had good results with the 2.3's so hopefully one day i will get one, very impressed with the way a 2.3L on throttle bodies with over 200bhp went

i think i will just go for a 2.3 with the standard inlet and a custom chip due to costs

That is one hell of a lot of rust, can belive how some cars can go like that and others not. How many miles has it got on the clock? Cant remember if i posted pics of the sills on my 1996 2wd rebuild but they were spotless, very strange that
