If your on an MS1 chip, you'll need the high res code for greens, which does need resistors. If you're on an MS2 chip then you can set the PWM current limit to 25% and run without resistors.

I can send you a base map, but i'll need to know how you are triggering (36-1 i guess), what chip you have and how u are firing the coils, EDIS or direct fire.

engine has 1600cvh efi flywheel, probley runing EDIS though zetec coilpack, my ms is ms1 v3. rick if u tell me what you need to know i can tell u but please spek english not to good with all this ecu spek

if you do need ballast resistor i think o have some laying around which came with my emerald, but why not opt for some high inpedance injectors instead? probally more variety?

OK, with MS 1, you need resistors for the Greens. If you have any spare cash, get an MS2 chip -about 40 quid - it is much better.

im not to clued up on this ms stuff either so sorry if im complicating things. is there really any difference between them other than not needing ballast resistors?

It's much better, it gives very fine control of big injectors - i ran a totally std 1.6 on greys with this and it idled at 15:1 without the close loop on. Latest codes support fully sequential, individual cylinder trim etc. Code is constantly being updated with new features.

so i get this chip thing, then i can run 803's using this with out ballast resistors, then just need a base map to install on my ms to run my car till i get it mapped am i right or am i miles away

ah right and ms1 runs high impedance. rick if i send u my ms could you put a base map on it and the ms2 chip thing or ballast resistors, for some coin. i tryed to get it loads up on to my pc today to have a look but it all french to me don't under most of it

no edis on your megasquirt mate its wasted spark set up and i have read through the manual the megasquirt you have can run lom imp injectors NO RESTERS NEEDED mite evon be an ms2 lol

little update with good pics, fitted my front springs, after cuting 2 coils off but it still to high, and made another addpeter plate for me head and striped it down to be skimed and ported, also fitted a new sticker just for a laugh

it clears but throttle body it about 3 to 4 mm away but thats when the thottle is closed when it open u have loads of room, but if ya gonna drop ya engine i would say remove in let first or the top half

will get u a pic of my ms up asap fella just i at my parents and my ms is at home 25 miles away

younge not runing 803's any more, not assed on fuel, it being built to be used and kicked from a2b, will nack it from when i start it to when i turn it off, so will use a nuff fuel any

Sorry fi this has already been answered..
The MS1 V3 WILL RUN low impedance. You will need to set the injector characsteristics in Megatune.

The PWM time should be 0.1 and the Max current should be around 70%

So to clarify, if you have an MS1 V3 MS ecu it WILL RUN low impedance injectors... we map them every day :P

Rick, I dont beliebe the MS2 supprot fully sequential or cylinder trim, that will be the sequenceer which uis not yet out.

The MS2 is a good chip, but we use MS1 and have no probs what so ever. The resolution is higher on the MS2 as are the tables, but becuase the MS1 fully interpolates its not really required.
