My garden project!!! **update 5/07/07 it's done**
Dunno if this is the correcting forum but I don't know where else it can go but here goes..
we moved into the house just over a year ago, the previuos owners had spent a small fortune landscaping the rear garden with decking, patio's and a pagola, not to mention the water feature and about 10 tons of gravel
It wasn't a usable garden and with a 6 year old son who just wants to play football it was no use to us so the deciision was made to rip it up and start again with a nice patio and lots of grass
this was what it looked like last week
this was is it now 3 skips later and lots of hard work!!!
hopefully should get it levelled and turfed in the next couple of weeks, also need to get the brush out and paint the fence a nice natural colour instead of the ghastly blue colour that the previous owners did..

well the weather hasn't helped but we have finally got there, not totally finished, the water feature isn't complete yet and also the plants in the borders need doing, but I'm very pleased in how it's worked out, as soon as the summer finally arrives our son can play in the back garden once again..
also I got the shed built so all the shed equipment lawnmower etc is now in the shed freeing up space in the garage
the plan here is to add an extra garage to make it a triple
there is enough space it's just money now as it won't be cheap as the roof has to come off to do it, it will get done one day tho
still need to paint the side and front of the shed, the rain keeps stpping me doing it
so to recap I have turned this non child friendly garden
into this very child friendly one

the ceanotheus looks good in flower seem to thrive the further north you go as they don't look that good down here in yorkshire
at least the present weather means you won't have to have the sprinkler out at all hours like you would in a typical july
and the turf looks nice and even good job fella
btw i'm a landscaper

You could do that mate but its never gonna look 100%...and by the time you fooked about with the valleys where the new roof meets existing you could have just ripped that off and put full new one on.
Suppose its time V's money really!

ah misread mate
TBH, if it was mine, id remove the roof and gables and replace with a hipped roof. Saves building the gables again and on large garages imo looks neater
