Mk1 RWD fiesta track car / rebuild UPDATED 30/07
Right as some of you know i got this wee beauty a some weeks ago with the idea of tracking her, well now she is going to see some road use too
Now she needs MOT'ing for 1st of April for my local PF meet. Here's what i found!!!
tried welding this piece up but the welder would not play ball time to go back to snap on me thinks
So as you can see a fair bit of work to get her ready for MOT and because of my shift pattern i only have 8 days to do it in
After all this hard work for her MOT etc, she is coming back off the road for a good freshen up, Zetec engine in the rear and roll on Croft 1st & 2nd yeah baby

Been quite busy, repaired and taped up some shonky wiring, all plating and undersealing is now done, new rad is almost fitted, just need to blank a pipe off and fanny about trying to bleed it up Fuel tank is back in.
Need to finish rad install, plumb up fuel tank properly as hose pipe was used , modify the hydraulic handbrake, wire up the rad fan

Hey hows it going i used to own that car before it came off the road and got sold up to aberdeen. That spec on that engine is basically race, its fully balanced and lightened forged pistons re-angled and cut valves high lift cams. Its about 135BHP and revs to 8000!!!! but dont changed the handeling as those tyres are like glue. i raced a cav 4x4turbo in it it had me in the straights but i got it in the bends i really hope you enjoy it. i used it for a while on the road and its amazing.

Well she passed her MOT with flying colours, taxed her up and took her for a spin
Fuel consumption is a little crap like 18 miles to a full fiesta tank
Revs like fook but no guts what so ever , could be the fact that the valve shims are fooked like or its getting a little too much fuel.
Had to let some air out of the tyres a there was 90psi in the rears and 60psi in the fronts
The car feels really stable even when it pulled the clock last night on my private road (100mph) olthough it does feel really good it understeers quite allot
Got to do something with the fuel system as 18 miles to 30ltrs of fuel is just wrong

Now the hunt begins for a 2ltr mondeo engine, subframe, suspension, box and brakes
Keep your eyes peeled the youth wan't mates rates +50% off
Oh and it was a propper Ba$tard of a job to get out ended up cutting most of the pipes, wires and linkages
