Default 2wd Saph

Will post pics up in here as car will never be finished and will be going through a few changes in the coming months.

Pics of when went to pick the old girl up:

Old engine bay before i changed a few things, way to shinney for me tbh

Old turbo, it might look pretty but in reality it was a piece of scrap and is much better at being used as a door stop at my mums:

Sticky Not sure when i will next be back for a Cheshire meet, got leave for easter so if theres a meet on i will up there. I will be at Central day unless work shaft me so will pop over for a chat anyway bud.

Shorty Naughty is one word for it bud
Lad who had it before Jay had spent to much on some bits and not enough on others, turbos a prime example[piece of shit]. I have spent last 6 months sorting out his bodges tbh

Should be alright once shes mapped, then the money will start to go on the suspension then. She's coming off the road at end of the summer for freshen up on the bodywork.

Small update, cars down at Grove for fitting of new inlet cam and a few other bits. Ahmed is going to map it on the L8 aswell while its there. Hoping to pic it up next weekend.

Also had a heat shield made up for for around the airfilter. Knocked it up in card and dropped it off at work shops. Will see how it fits once i get the car back and take some pictures.

Just a small update as cars still away at Grove should be finished early next week, have been kept busy though helping my best mate with a few bits on his FRS.

As i am running a mirror image breather tank i cant fit an airbox, so i needed to sort some thing out to try and keep the heat off the turbo away from the air filter.

I knocked up a template in card board and took it down work shops and got this back. I am going to cover one side in cool it tape [Cheers Richie/B9 KOS] and have ago at fitting it as soon as the cars back. Its very simple idea but should work.

My best mate also has an Apexi for his FRS, so we have been reading up on how to fit it and are going [i say we but that means paul as i am shit at electrics so i will be the helping hands] to have ago at fitting it to his this weekend.

Then we will do mine when i get car back. One thing i am still struggling with is where to take wheel speed from as my abs is disconected i am not sure if there will still be a signal i can use, anyone got any ideas?

Last thing is i got some new polish for old girl as it needs a good going over before the shows.

I will be ordering some more bits next week in the shape of some hoses off Roose, Thermo sleeve, and some heat wrap.

A few more bits to add to the stock pile for fitting over Easter.

New pipes have been ordered off Roose as like the quality over Samco stuff. Had them posted to home as going back on leave Thursday.

Also i won this off the bay last night for a superb price:

Phonned Grove up this morning to see if i could go get car and got a problem even Mark and Ahmed aint seen before.

Right i am swapping to L8 ecu which i supplied and known to be working. TPS all swapped over for it and it wont start, so they put another L8 on that Mark knows works, and still wont start. They put L6 back on to see if it would work and it starts, even if is running a bit shit They going to see what they can do today and i will ring them in the morning.

Also the Bottom bolt that holds alternator on is fucked, i fixed it 6 months ago but its gone again, best bit is ford dont sell it anymore If had known it was fucked i wouldnt have dropped it off untill it was fixed.

Really fucked off with it as Mark has worked all weekend on it to try and get it back to me for Easter and now this!

Shit luck Nash
I'm in the forces too. Based in Germany.
Where abouts are you?

I will be at the rolling road day at APT. Will you?

I have the Apexi in mine but haven't sorted the speed sensor for the self learning. Let me know how you do it please?

I have an Spa Designs speedo with the pickup off of a sensor and magnet off the back wheel for true speed reading. Can the signal be picked up off of this?

Am in Honington Sufolk bud, wish i could get a posting to Germany. Not even going home on leave for Easter if cars not ready as i will be in a shit mood untill its sorted.

Cars down for the RR day yeah, if Mark cant sort it by tomoro i dont think it will be there I will try and get down even if its not finished though.

I havn't wired my Apexi up yet mate. You can use the Spa pick off for wheel speed. When setting up the boost do it manually first, get it as close as possible to what you want then turn on self learning mode.

This is the way my mates been doing it for years and finds it to be the best way. If you Turn self learning on straight away i hasnt got a clue. If you do it the way i said its almost like a base map for it to work from if that makes sense?
