Roll on may then, it'll be nice and solid.
Your more than welcome to hop in, if you can stand my driving .
I'm trying to drag dan along for the day, somebody needs to tell me where to go one track .
Let me know when those tanks are off then, if you want rid off them.

Cars off the road till May time now, Its all striped inside for welding. Engine is coming out again as got Piston slap thats doing my head in, Teach me to listen to Wossner for the bore size's.
Got another block coming and so will hand this and the pistons over the Dave Brooks and have it wire rung at the same time. I am also going to change the Crank aswell.
P.S. Black Breather and Header tank are going up forsale as getting new ones.

Well what you normally do when getting a block bored for pistons is give them who ever is doing the work and they work out the sizes.
Wossner told me not to do this and bore the block to the sizes they gave me. Trouble with this is they left the tollerances quite big so the piston can move around in the bore and cause piston slap. I am not the only person who has had this happen to them with wossners, If you give the pistons to who ever is going to do the machining and forget what wossner say you will be fine.

Well the time has come, car is getting broken up for parts. I just want a car i can stick on track without worrying about it breaking all the while.
I have enjoyed it at times but i cant afford to keep the thing, as its bleeding me dry. I have only managed 2 trackdays in 18 months and seeing as thats why i bought the car in the first place, it just doesnt make sense.

I decided to break the car after xmas for a few reasons, i sold a load of bits off then i got the car dropped off at home instead of having it sat at my mates Unit. When the car came off the low loader i knew straight away i wanted to keep it. I had a word with my rents and asked if they minded it being sat on the drive[its there house at the end of the day], mum said it was ok so i decided to keep the thing.
The Trackday at Donington made my mind up i was through with trackdays. This has nothing to do with getting scared of binning the car or not being upto driving the car flat out, i am by no means a great driver but i am not "Swear Word" either. The reasons for it is the wear it puts on the car, i probably put about 6months on wear into the car in 1 day and i just cant afford to play that game. The main reason though is other people! idiots who wont move out of your way and ruin your day, i had one clean session all day which really pissed me off.
As the car is not going to be trackcar anymore i can scrub a few things off my list i wanted to do with the car, also means i will respect it slightly. When i decided to break it i sold off my T4 turbo, New loom, Interior, ECU, Intercooler, injectors and a few small other bits.
I would love to put the car back on a T4 and have about 430-440bhp again but the reality is i cant afford it, and its not the most driveable on the road. Instead of a T4 i will stick the car on a T34 and a set of 83lb injectors [future proof] and aim for around 380bhp ish. The car is going to feel alot slower and i know i will get bored but its still enough power to have some fun with[thats what everyone tells me].
The shonker wont be back out untill next year, i want to take my time and not have to splash out all in one go. I plan to strip the underside and sort the rust out and fit all new brake and fuel lines, then paint the beam etc. I will also give the engine to the pinto legend that is Dave brookes to do all the machining and throw the engine together aswell[just easier as will have all the bits and doesnt cost much more].

Little bit of an up date just to show how the shonker is before i start work on it.
Car hasnt moved under its own steam since 29th of December.
Drivers side rotten arch, this is the worse of the two. The worse bit is at the bottom of the sill.
Driver floor area.
Seat mounting point.
How the engine bay looks.
The plan is with more than a little help from my mate Lee[Hitchwest] to get from the gearbox back stripped off this week.
