Maybe? It would make sense as the bigger one would supply the dual rears. Thanks

I used a ball bearing with original fitting to blank off the centre port (not used)
I also used port closest to the bulkhead for the front brakes and the port furthest away from the bulkhead for the rear brakes
My way of thinking was that the one closest to the bulkhead would be the first one to receive pressure from the foot pedal

Bloody hell that is scary. I had a bad break which was shattered forearm, dislocated elbow and broken bones just above elbow. The Surgeon said I would never throw a ball or be able to straighten the arm...it was 100% normal within 2 yrs and 1 operation.

Hey Smiley, you probably just became more interesting!

Today I fitted up the rear brake lines, bolted up the props and made sure the clutch line was away fron the exhaust which I also refitted. It will be finished soon

Nah, don't care about the weather, I am looking for winter tyres now, I will use it in the snow. I don't ever take my cars off the road for poor weather, they are cars and should be used as such. My 1.9 goes out in all weathers

Thanks David, the labels on your loom have made the wiring up of the ABS pump a doddle...such a nice piece of kit!

Will be running very soon. I will do more on Friday pm this week and over the weekend. Small jobs to do now like bleed the brakes, few wires, bleed clutch etc....

I ran the abs pump up but I found a leak where I had badly made off one of the brake lines. This worried me so I did all the lines again and realised I had used the sae die instead of din on one of the fittings in the Sykes pickavant kit, all sorted now and the abs pump is silent on the anti vibration mounts.

I bled up the clutch, Coley will vouch for how heavy my clutch WAS on the uprated helix cover pre tilton, now it is as light as the clutch on my mums 1.4 polo! Those tilton centre pushes are very impressive!

I fitted up the throttle body and tidied up all the wires then refilled with Evans waterless coolant (it has already been flushed with prep fluid). Wheels are back on.

Sunday will see the brakes being bled up and the carbon bonnet being prepped for trial fitting.

I seem to have lost one of the spring clips that goes around the cam position sensor plug, I have been raiding all the old wires to try and find a spare but they seem too small...any ideas? I am off to look at RS components.

It is the type clip that goes around the plug here. My plug goes on to the distributor.

I started to bleed up the brakes but I think I pressed the pedal before it was properly bled OR part of the master cylinder was not right as the pedal stuck all the way down. As a precaution I took the master out and re-checked everything. There was one seal that looked like it had perished so I replaced that from my spare and then carefully reassembled. I am going to research the bleed procedure but I may replace the piston in the master as it feels notchy and I think it could be this that jammed. Clearly it has to be 100% perfect for safety. Two steps forward and one step back.

Never mind, I popped in to see my mate Al (the transplanter) and looked at his VR6 Turbo golf caddy conversion on 6 speed box...it looks like it will be a good project. He also has a MK2 escort in his lock up that keeps calling me.

Looking at old posts I think I pumped the brake pedal too far, it just needs a slight depress. I will investigate the smooth operation of the piston first though....the good thing is that I now know the ate master inside out as I bought a spare from RS breakers to compare it to.

Most other jobs are done, a little wiring to do and I can now order my heated front screen to replace the one that broke when I forgot to lock the bonnet shut.

I put the newly painted replacement bonnet hinges on today too.

This weekend saw more brake mods to get it how I want it. There is a tiny seep from somewhere that I need to find and I have also spent a bit of time tidying the Attesa pump wires. Should be able to fire the old girl up this weekend coming I hope.

I need to order my heated screen before I drive it though.

I re did the ets pro wires today as I wanted better cables for the control knobs so fitted new 4 core cable ( I have loads left if anyone needs to extend the potentiometer wires on theirs.

Also fitted the carbon bonnet pre paint, this needs some adjusting and bonnet pins.

Re- bled the attesa pump so that is ready to go and tested the ets pro...it is good to see the pressure gauge move when you move the yaw sensor so that is all working.

Still messing around with the brakes as Mark thinks the 205 pedal box may be over stroking the cossie master cylinder so I am making some adjustments there.

Waiting on a roof vent and heated front screen now. Prob start up and test drive next weekend.

Unless there are some pictures I can't see how any of the above has really happened

If you haven't sorted the connector clip, the connector looks like a junior timer 3 way? Might be simpler to buy a new connector from: http://www.polevolt.co.uk/acatalog/T...onnectors.html and steal the spring clip.

In the pretty brief test drives so far on damp ish roads it spins up in the first 3 gears as soon as the boost swells in 2wd mode, flick the switch and it just grips and takes off.

So far in 4wd I have not seen any slip at all even though the tyres are pretty old and only 195s

I am looking forward to videoing the guage to see how the psi builds and drops based on driving conditions.
