just this min. got in now after doing more to it.
Lee Reynolds
at first i used a rough sandpaper and then Nitromoors paint remover, this was ok but needed 2 or 3 attempts to get it down to bare metal.
i have also been using a heat gun, this is a bit slower but it gets all the paint off in one go
so probably quicker in the long run,and the garage is nice and warm too.
i will be back on it tomorrow.

Dave.......
Be VERY careful with the heatgun, the localised heat will buckle the panels to fook.....

not sure Lee.
the car has still got the axle and front struts on,wiring loom, steering rack/wheel etc....
just to make it easier to move around and get it to the garage where the work will be carried out.
did not want it a bare shell as it would have been awkward to move about, well that was before a bought the roll over frame.
Time was also a factor too Lee.....have been working the weekends for a good while now and not had the time to sort out and deliver it to get dipped etc.....
so with it sitting there and wth having a bit of time over christmas...i got started on it.
i think it will give me a bit more satisfaction too when its all finished knowing what i have dne to it,all the hard work been payed off.

just spoke to Dave, the man who will be doing all the fab work and he is sorting a price out and a date when he can start it.
hopefully the price will be ok.....probably going to get him to do it no matter what the price tbh as he is good.
he will be doing the work in Neils garage,he is the painter,so when all prepaired Neil will paint it all while its there.
so, hopefully the waiting won't be too long.

Cool dave. I agree, you do get more satisfaction when doing most of it yourself...why not have a go at painting it? B and Q sale on at moment on their white gloss
