Thanks for the comments guys, I was hoping you would like it.

Twins: Ive already done it mate. I painted 1 stub axle yellow then painted the other black. WHen I looked at the 2 against the car the black looked much better.

Cheers lads for the comments.
The engine spec aint great at all. basically as this,
1800 16valve 130bhp XR3i zetec with a 3mm decompression plate, 2 headgaskets, head drilled and tapped to accept an ERST manifold, FRST EFI inlet with spacer plate and adapter plate to fit zetec head, OFAC managment, beige injectors, standard rods, pistons etc. Engine has been stripped and rebuilt with all new ford seals and gaskets, timing belt kit, waterpump etc. Nowt special really compared with some of the engine builds on here but it will do me.

2 reasons for that mate.
1 is ive got 2 kids and easier to get them in and 2 the shell is mint, even though it has a sunroof its almost rot free. Just had new wings as the old ones were dented and slightly rusted at the bottoms. Even the battery tray is original and the car has only done 81000 miles, it only had 64000 miles on it when I bought 4 years ago with full service history and huge pile of receipts. I know the history isnt much good seeing as the engine and suspension etc has been changed but its still good to have it. The original service book is full and is now on a second service history book.

Down to me mate, The quicker I get it up and running the quicker it will be painted and on the road. Ive spent 30 hours this weekend on it. in that time I manged to fit the RS suspension, cleaned and repainted the wheel arches, fitted the new engine and box and also the brake bar, servo master cylinder etc so I dont think im doing too bad. I want it finished and running now but im not rushing it so I get a better finish, (hopefully).

Time for another update I think. The engine is now running. It still has breather pipes off and a few other bits but still she lives!! Can anyone tell where the pipe goes to that comes from the inlet manifold. Its more or less arrowed in this pic below. Its just above the idle spped comtrol valve, Is that right. Also on the turbo next the where the air intake pipe goes, there is a small pipe looks like a breather could the inlet pipe ive described above go to this??? thanks for any help. Here is the pic of the inlet,

Here is a few pics of the car and a video of the engine running. hope you like them,

No, the other smaller pipe above the idle speed control valve not the pipe that actually comes out the valve mate.

Well after more than 9 months its finally painted. The painter had the car all this time but only actually painted it last week.
None the less its done and this £800 later, what do you think of the colour?

After Christmas im going to get cracking with it and start putting her back together. Need new wheels and stuff yet Im going to wait until the bumpers and other bits are back on then decide on a set rims for the summer.
