There's a very highly recommended place in Northampton mate, they do resto work, shot blasting, flocking, the lot!
I just can't remember the name of them!
Think they are in Banbury, i'll reply again if I can remember lol

its not on the outside, front panel is rotten, front wings where the bumper bolts to them are rotten,so im thinkink new front end, have the battary try n fuse box area replaced anyway, even tho them areas arent that bad!
then im thinking get a good well powered engine to complement them body work, nothing massive, about 220bhp or something!

PassionFord Post Whore!!
central blast cleaning sent me an email today,
they spray the underneath, the interior and the engine bay, but not the panels, they DA the panels so they wont have any paint on them but dont blast them as it would distort the panels.
they quoted Ł1,300 +VAT for this on a renault 5 convertable, that is probably 1/2 the size of an escort and a lot easier as it has no roof.
that is if i totally strip the car to.

Fook!
Have a look through cars for sale and Ebay mate, just see whats about!
Either that or be prepared to pay for everything to be sorted properly!
What you got to weigh up is what will cost you less?

well ill more than likley stick with my shell,as it had shit loads of welding done on its last m.o.t,so shouldnt need to much this time around!will also help keep costs down!!need to get an exhaust n new suspension for it before i bring it off the road at xmas,as its becoming impossible to drive!im really looking forward to getting stuck into it,may start doing a few bits underneath in the next couple of months, want it ready for the ring in easter,so at least i have a target aswell dunno what to do about the engine though?should i go for mega power,or go for decent power n good reliability?!

i can recomend a good car its on e bay at the minute. it was a 1.1 bonus originally but is in mercury grey and is a full turbo now. the shell is mint for its age, you could build a minter out of the two cars and sell on the rest.

Have a word with mark at www.norrismotorsport.co.uk as they use a place in the midlands ...matlock i think
They sent my car there to be blasted and the result was very good
Take a look at some of the pics in my resto thread
The pics of the blasted shell are on page 2

PassionFord Post Whore!!
i spoke to spl today
to acid dip my renault 5 they quoted me Ł575 + vat,
thats with the whole car stripped to a shell and no panels fitted except the bootlid.
electrophoretic coat ........ 15 yrs rust provention, std manufacturers coating on new cars Ł750 + vat
or etch priming was Ł350 + vat i think.
doesnt sound bad
