Liking the standard look. I'm torn between upgrading mine or leaving it as it is. One thing that I'm not changing on mine is the ambers. They just look the danglies I reckon.

Started work today.

Up in the air to start with

Broken Wheel arch liners out (Need new or used ones if anyone can help)

Rear wheel archs looking good on both sides quick rub down remove surface rush scabs and treat with rust eater then primer and paint, same for everywhere underneath.

Tank down looking good but will still use the new one and save this one.

Clean where the tank and fuel pump carier where

Near side rear in first coat of primer

Just waiting for the new fuel tank now that will be powder coated and il transfer the bits over ready for putting back.
Got the carier in me boot taking it to a couple of local places to try and get all new bits for it IE pipes, banjo's clips.
Carier will be off to the powder coaters for a blast and made nice.

Lots more to do, strip all suppension off and get stuff to powder coaters.
new brake lines
new fuel pipe
new hi tensil bolts and nuts.

more to come cheers James.

Striped all the brakes yesterday up till the calipers.

so just the beam to lower now and everything will be off and i can start on the floor.

Not been feeling well today but hoping to spend this weekend and all next week on it so in a position to get all the componets powder coated get me new bolts and nuts from a local place iv found that do hi tensil stuff
then just need to sort calipers new brake lines and get down to DB carbs to get me bits for the fuel to be plumbed up.

P.S. got me S/S flexy brake hoses today.

I know there not standard but i just want a couple of things from the car that standard parts carnt give you.

IE better handling and better brakes.

CheeRS All bit more for you.

Bit more done nothing really that interesting just more under car shoots of the body work coming on.......

Drivers Rear Arch on its way

Floor Coming on cleaned more up wont need much just a quick sand to make the primer stick nice.

Floor close up looking very clean

Spare wheel well coming on

Not alot left to do really trying to get the fiddly bits out the way first im only going up to the floor pan for now then if i have time i will get that steam cleaned and attack that this year too but i want the skirts off for that too.

More to come maybe tomorrow.

Update sadly no pics yet.

Iv Painted all treated areas so far with gel then wiped with panel wipe then Red Oxide paint still got a bit of cleaning to do with the sander then i can paint all the floor with red oxide prime and paint ready for taking new componets.

all brake pipes and fuel pipes stripped off to get behind them.

All the diff and drive shafts are disconnected.

going to get some recon drive shafts work out at about 100 each but will look around.

List made for my man at Ford from my Microcat, looking expensive.

New nuts bolts Etc.

Looks like the Diff wil be being bead blasted for a standard look.

Been to see the Powder Coater and he's happy with what i want so will try and get some stuff dropped off some time soon.

It's a pleasure to watch one of my favourite 2WD saffs getting cleaner and cleaner. Can't wait to see the final result of all these works. It was a perfect car before, now it will be an "ubersaff"
