Well bit of an update, had some small issues but all sorted now up and running and having fun.

First was my short shaft kept popping out on the wheel side, my mate Chris ordered me a new CV from Ford and thats sorted the problem and where billing the driveshaft people for all the problems and time.

Second was a problem with the brake pedel pulsing when coming up to junctions and stops... this was sorted by removing the front ABS sensors and blowing the ABS rings out with an airline as they where full of bearing grease from when i had build my hubs up with new bearings.

So all sorted now and im out and about.

Next show for me will be Combe see you all there.

Hi all,

Time to bring this one back to the top,

Been along time, iv sadly not been very well and that has stopped progress on this project, im feeling much better now and improving all the time so THIS winter im hoping to finish the underside of the car where i left off.

This winter i made a couple of changes to the car, only small things because of my health.

Repainted the ront and rear shocks in situ as they had chipped so i did them in black hammerite and there much better now and easier to wipe down.

Front calipers sadly haddent lasted that well with the finish that BIGG RED had put on them so they where repainted in hammer gold, and i will be doing the rears the same colour.

The Headgasket needed doing due to a fan failure at Ford Fair last year so that was done in May, cars running better than ever now, any Rallye News readers will be able to see the full write up on that Plus i will put it on here.

Im now enjoying the car and looking forward to this winters project.

Will put some pics up of the changes some.

James.

Stunning to see the end results and the fact that your enjoying it. Very few in this condition left. It can only appreciate in value and will certainly be sought after in a very short time.

How do love!

As always mate stunning! I'm pleased I have managed to stumble accross this I missed seeing the updates!

Loving the workshop too, amazing space to be getting on with and very clean and tidy too. Your Saph was absolute 'filth' when I saw it at FITP.

Keep in touch mate, you know I have a soft spot for Saphs, (Often find myself craving a maroon one!) I have most of the enginebay out in the onion, ready for re-spray and the Zetec lump!
