Default Project Saff Cosworth

I've had my Saff Cossie for about three years now, last year I rebuilt the engine as the piston rings were shot, in January of this year I found a shell on eBay that has a lot less rust than my current one (roof had rust both sides of the sunroof, rear wheel arches and the bulkhead. and the transmisson tunnel was really bad after lifting the carpet).

The car is nearly finished now with a few bits left to do (mainly tidy up the bodywork), few pics below.

Problem I have caused on our drive

There is normally my brothers clio in front of the wall, the Laguna is my dads and is on next doors drive, Nova hidden behind Laguna on our drive.

The spare family car (which I end up with more than anyone) shame its a 950cc Nova

Got to have the Cossie finished for Ford Fair as I've booked track time and a couple of sprint runs.

Its a common place for them to go luckily my new shell was very minor so I cut out the bad bits and welded some new pieces in. The rear drivers seat mount had also rusted on both shells so I think that must be a common fault as well.

Had the intention of spending the whole weekend fitting the diff and getting the passenger side sprayed. I ended up being ill on Saturday so only managed to get the Quaife LSD into the case. Sunday the clutch decided to die on the Nova so spent 8 hours lifting the engine out changing the clutch and re-fitting it. Then yesterday it rained as hard as it could and I only managed to get the diff and exhaust on.

Still need to paint the passenger side, sort out the rear bumper and get some front door handles fitted and then I can take it to have an inspection done as the DVLA won't let me have my V5 back until its been done

At least I have two weeks off starting 5th June, but I have 4 cars that need dealing with, the Nova's got an MOT on 8th (I doubt it will pass), the Cossie needs finishing. My mates Focus has an MOT on the 5th and is bound to need something doing to it and her boyfirends Bravo won't start so I've got lumbered with that as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally got the car moving, and am now re-spraying the whole car, got the roof, front doors and drivers side rear wing and sill done. Will get some more photos up later.

Now waiting for the DVLA to decide if I'm getting the orginal F plate for the shell back or if their going to issue a Q plate

Couple of recent pics

DVLA Newbury are inspecting the car on 25th July to decide what registration they're going to apply. Still got a few things left to sort so hopefully it will back on the road in August.
