my biggest project to date ex btcc 88 sierra
couple of early pics of my project,
its been stripped out and has some parts missing,
but has a very interesting btcc history and is the original shell
so i feal its worth the hard work and cost to get it back to its original condition once more,
still has the rare getrag race gearbox and 9" motorsport diff, with goode rear arms and all group A brakes suspention.
this one is a graham goode car 001 from 1988 and was his original white 88 listerline car. and then sean walkers FAI car from 89 BTCC season

into the bodyshop today,
nice big price
but i do know the owner and he tells me it will be mint when he has done his stuff.
got non of my cars though steve scott, but he does help me with parts and has done work on most of my cars at some stage.
just look round the net and i know a lot of people,
nearly every owner of one of these cars in this country i will have spoken to at some stage,
this car came from only 30 miles from my house and i had know about the car for over five years,
old owner is a friend and did not have the time to give the car his full attention,
if i did not buy it, he was going to break it for spares, which would have been a shame.
the trouble with these cars is the running gear commands a high price,
with getrag race box making 2.5 k
and 9" ford motorsport diff over 2k
hence evan a car looking light this has a high value.
will atleast get some cash back as i am not fitting the kevlar tailgate, kevlar doors and kevlar bonnet,
very rare parts these, as well as the thundersaloon kit and massive 17" x 12" wide bbs centre lock wheels.
need an as new bonnet and driver door and two new front wings to complete the list of parts needed,

How many are left in the country at a guess?
i would say between 15 to 20 max genuine cars left in this country and maybe 50 to 70 in the world total
getting old now and many have been turned into rally cars and some have been reshelled,
which in my view are not the right car anymore,
ones in this country
1 andy loyds dick johnson 87 car
2 mobile 1 05 peter brook car (ex rouse 88 kalaber car)
3 dave brodies 500 race car
4 mike newmans listerline car
5 graham goode mach 5 malasian 500 race car
6 brookland rs500 race car ( not run for many years )
7 andy kirleys ex lawrence bristow cam shipping 88 car( now yellow )
8 my old ANZ ex rouse moffat 87 car ( now back in australia)
9 my eggenberger texaco rs500 race car
10 my ex harvey labatts 89/90 rs500 race car
11 my now beeing restored ex goode 88 rs500 race car
12 ex kalaber guy edwards car 89 car now up north viewed this one, was thunder salooned and now converted back to three door( not run for a few years)
13 ex eggenberger rs500 in scotland( now thunder salooned and most parts changed and the chassie number quoted me did not add up, so bit scepital on this car)
14 graham goode 89/90 black listerline car( just a shell now kept by him for old time sake )
so take out my old ANZ car from this and we have 13 known cars must be a few more hiding around and there is a few reshelled ones with no chassie numbers to trace them.
as you can see from the list we did well to have so many there for the touring cars display at national day last year.

Did very well to get them at National Day mate, shame I missed it!
How often do they come up for sale and how much is a decent car going for these days? Must be massive amounts of money!?
PM me if you like! lol
