Well since my gearbox did this last week;





I thought it would be a good time to sort out a bit more power. Im looking to achieve around 150bhp from the 2.0L with a set of cams and the usual breathing mods. Im also going to put a 50 shot of nitrous throught it to raise to 200bhp when needed . Im going to tart the engine bay up a bit aswell with samcos and shiney bits .

Anyway the gearbox was already out;



All relevant ancilleries removed;



The last mount was a bastard;

All out ;



Hopefully the new engine will be here next week so i can start to clean that up. Also need to buy a gearbox and rebuild it...really looking forward to that .

Oh and please dont ask about the gay motorworld hose covers .

On its mounts (Who says you cant put a Zetec in through the top with box and ancilleries on ):



Fitted various pipework, plumbed in power steering:

Finished for today:



Just need to bolt the gear linkage up, fit the cat, add some oil and finish a bit of wiring and it is done.

Next step after that is to fit the nitrous, but just wanna get it running right before I fuck about with that

seems though you've done the work, can i ask you what i would need to change to put a mondeo 2.0L zetec into my escort 1600 zetec engine. and would it fit in quite smug. by the way nice work!!!!!

Good work with the motor i'll keep an eye on this for my own reference as no one on here seems to care about anything other than cossies and rst's on here so it should help me decide to do with my xr3i 130's engine
