The actual super 1600 car went for around Ł35k didn't it....
Agree personally with everything except the stack dash, they are losing flavour of the month in the sport at the moment.
Interesting to see your playing with a Rover engine mount and not using the Audi one. Not that it matters.
Be an interesting thread this - as its stuff we also like doing

Reason for using the Rover mount is space.. the Audi mount is too big. I will be replacing the rubber bush insert for something stiffer though.

Not problems as such, but they do give hassles with all the senders etc.
The round single ones seem to be fine as they are less complicated.
People don't seem to put up with all the hassle any more (in competition)
I did exactly the same with the Rover mount rubber bush and basically replaced it with something uprated from the end of an Escort WCXM Never touched it since

Martin - I don't know about the Metro, it was more of a track "beast", but have you played much with front/rear ride heights in terms of traction for launching on straight stuff? I've got some coilovers on the way for my Fiesta and will be interested to see how much the rearward weight transfer can be reduced by dropping it at the front, cranking it up on the back and having the stiffer springs on.
