Hi all well some of you no that the 2i is off to the bodyshop in a few days.
So today i gave it a quick wash and took some pre bodyshop pictures.

Once the car goes in i will be visiting the bodyshop every now and again to grab some progress pics of the car for myself and also for you all to enjoy ..

anyway this is where this thread begins .. and here are the pre bodyshop piccies









Its having 2 new complete rear quarters and 2 front wings fitted .. front inner arches welded floorpan sorted .. having my smoothed boot with its mondeo spoiler fitted whitch currently is living in my shed .. also having a zetec-s rear bumper fitted .. delocking it .. color coding the door handles and wing mirrors [ mirrors only not base plates ] frst opening rear windows and alot more + a full respray in the same mercury grey ..

Really looking forward to it as all will be ready for fitp

Well today i went to the bodyshop to have a look at the progress of my car.
Just got home and to be perfectly honest im not in the best of moods
its been there a week and its hardly been touched... and to top it off i arrive to find its been pushed outside :x :x :x :x :x
All they have done is removed a bumper and my lights pulled off the bump strips and poked and prodded at the holes in the car


its looking so very sorry for itself .. cyber

















Well there you have it with all its rust in its glory

all rust is being sorted and will eventualy look mint but its so sad seing it like this .. i no at the end of the day its only a xr2i and a lot of people wouldent bother buuuut ... then again i love this car ..

ok went back but with the cam today to get some pictures ..
















Its good to see those holes in my floor gone
they are still working on the inner arch part but getting there
they have been cracking on with all the other cars with little jobs so that they can get mine inside and begin ripping the outside to bits
they now have all the replacement panels ready to be put on e.t.c

plus its the love for this car.

1.9 xr2 on 40's

sure there gonna do the car how you want it mate?, looks a bit of a shady job to me it maybe ok to scrap a mk3 fes thru a mot but really id want the rot cut out propper and replaced as it shud be rather than just plated over the d-lockin dont look like its gonna be as seemless as it shud be either
