ok at last ive had a thought of a project would like some feedback from you guys..

Ive got an Xr2 , 60k on the clock ,K&N ,exhaust etc..good fun but SHITS fuel and is a bit unreliable in the cold etc. lol..

ive sourced a XR2i engine and box for silly cheap money with some ancillaries like starter etc. but no loom and stuff..is it possible / worth converting the xr2 to injection ? im thinking, need loom + bits,fuel pump?, slap xr2i engine in or just the head and injector rai / manifold etc. does anyone know if its relativley straight forward or not worth the effort ? just looking for some ideas / feedback really. cheers guys

hi thanks rolls, ive had a nose on some of the sites quite interesting. still looking for the definitive 'idiots guide ' any suggestions ? seems to be quite straightforward on the wiring side...

Not a very big task... the engine and the gearbox are the same, they fit. You'll have to modify the loom (but this is not a big task), and the exhaust. Biggest problem is the fuel tank because your XR2 don't come with a swirlpot inside.

I've done a conversion to 1.6 MFI and use a tank with a swirlpot from the 1.4i.

alot of those guides are for the Turbo conversion, i just want to go EFI .

is there a link / wring guide somewhere just to do this? also, can get away with just swapping the heads ?
