After much arsing around I decided that now I had the management the turbo wasn't big enough for the BHP I wanted so I have now purchased a nice 2wd Cossie turbo
Also here is a pic of the 3 inch down pipe I have for the turbo
Then in anticipation of sending the engine to Ian Howell I thought I would clean up some of the parts ready to take.
All I need to do now is get the engine back out of the car to strip. 1st problem is the car is in a position I cant work on still and 2nd after speaking with Ian I have to wait until march before he has a space available.

A bit of an update. Got things moving a little mostly due to Chris (slammedorion) so big thanks to you mate for the loan of space, tools and time
First off Got a 2.5" Magnex stainless just need a smaller tailpipe as the 4"tip will look stupid.
I also had my spare xr2 drums machined down to fit over some sierra cossy solid rear discs so that I can test fit the brackets that I have being made up at the moment
Next up was this ...
One ERST manifold with zetec flange on. Saves drilling the head and makes it easier to replace the head if needed
I then took the engine out of the car and stripped the 2.0ltr parts off it. Bolted up the rest of the 1.8 and turbo gear to make me feel better and check they fit

removed the rear end underneath parts axle, panard rod etc.. and gave it a good clean up ready for paint.
Have since removed the fuel tank too
Next up cleaning and painting parts. Stripped the axle down, blasted it and sanded it, coated it with no1 rust treatment then hammerite smooth black. Same with the panard rod and rear anti bar brackets.
Bought a almost new ARB off MK so thats ready to go on and also some new ARB brackets.
Ordered some deflex bushes for the rear and painted up the koni adjustables as they where looking a little tired.
Then gave the rear underneath a lick of paint ...
It was at this point I built it up to take to Chris's for the grinding and welding needed These are the first parts put back on. No doubt these will need to be repainted again

Danny yeah its the 1.1auto shell I'm using
Thanks to everyone else for the kind words of encouragement
Heres the pics from Chris's house. Not many as we where a bit busy. Basically we cut out the small amount of rot on the rear arches and welded in fresh metal. Cut back all 4 arches so theres no rubbing and removed the side strips then welded up the holes that where left. The passenger door is being replaced so no need to remove that strip

I have a Fiesta centre fuel tank with internal swirl pot and ERST fuel pump. I never had any issues with it even when it was my daily drive for 3-4years
The tank has been all painted up and is ready to be refitted. along with the fuel pump in a better location than before
Will put some pics up when its on

About time you updated this thread mate . . . so heres the kick up the aRSe you need . . .

OK OK, but I dont have much to update at the mo as my projects go much slower than yours
Well I managed to paint the interior body work... ( fitted the mk5 adjustable pedal at the same time donated by slammedorion )
and I had the rear disc bracket made up properly. I did a job for the brother inlaw and he made me these for nothing.
And some of the underneath cleaning
This has been painted now and there has been some development on the engine side which will have to wait until after I get off holiday next week

Thanks for the comments chaps
Never spoken to true. I only ever wanted to do a quick resto and power upgrade. That was like 5 years and 3 kids ago. Things are looking up for the project all the time though.
On holiday for a week tomorrow but after that I can build the new bottom end up Nothing to fancy but will be good enough in a MK2 fez

Managed to get some of the suspension on at the front.
Fitted new wheel bearing and ball joint. Put on the koni shocker and lower arm all polly bushed.
The calliper is Granada cossie which I've opened up the hub mount holes to 12mm and think I'll just run it RS2000 disc for now. Just need to buy the disc's and track-rod end to finish it off...
I also received some adapters that Shaun machined up for me so I can fit the handbrake cable to the Granada cossie rear callipers
Very pleased with these so thanks again Shaun
