Very impressive times with the rs3, we were down on Saturday and Sunday there and got to see your car go!

I'm looking for some big help regarding my times. I was down in the Anglia, running 300whp. My best time was 12.7 @ 111mph, 60ft of 2.11. This was on Toyo road tyres, 16inch wheels. So much wheel spin in first gear. Would slick tyres dramatically improve this time? I'm looking to get my 60ft closer to about 1.8. ( highest terminal of the weekend was 117.7mph )

Glad someone got to see it! Not sure if i saw the Anglia on the day?

I might not be the best person to ask about getting better times but I've been told to let a few PSI out the tyres just for grip but never did in the end as i need to put it back for the ride home lol. Also i did a run when i had loads of boost from launch and i just spun so much, could you not set off a little "slower/less aggressive" then give it everything.

Can you adjust the amount of boost on launch ? I wasn't able to build boost on the start line , though I could try next time by holding the car on line lock and loading it up but this would have made he problem worse until I try slick tyres .

When i put it in launch mode and hit the throttle it will built boost up and drop if i hold it, but I've been doing the launches when the boost is at its peak. I just held it that time then when it dropped i went and i didn't get bogged down so much.

Not sure how else to help other than tape up the joins so its more aerodynamic

Very impressive time that is. There were a few mk3 Rs dipping into the 12's there but not that low, the mk2 rs's didn't see one of them get anywhere near a 12 even with some claiming 650+hp.

Nice motor you have there buddy.
I'd love to have an rs3.

I've just bought an old 8p s3 and I love it.
Not the fastest thing in the world, it does have a remap but it just drives soo nice

Cheers Paul

I'm actually yet to see many quick mk2 focus rs's go up the strip yet, apparently loads of big power ones about but never seen any run....

There was one that had been dyno'd at 650hp at ford fest it was running low 14's with wheelspin at around 110mph, their heavy so maybe that's why they don't post quick times, the mk3's seem to be quicker though because of the 4wd.

Ill find the times from Saturday but someone who came with us had a run with a mk2 (400bhp i believe) and left it behind due to grip.

Lee, the mk3's going in the 12's were they tuned do you know? Ive seen the video where some stage 2 (435hp) mk3's did a 12.4.

The 8p S3 with a map should be fairly fast, 260hp standard and 300+ with a map? Cant be slow. If it drives anything like mine then yes its great to drive.

Yes mate mines 310hp and 320lbft.
It goes alright don't get me wrong.
I don't wanna tune it too much as its my daily driver, the Cossie gets all the spending money thrown at it ha ha!

Yes the mk3 rs were tuned, there was a standard one there that did 14.0 flat.

It was on normal road tyres, lot of wheelspin but still only 110mph terminal, yet too see a quick on over the 1/4.

Standard doing 14 dead is not a great time in this day for the car that it is.

650HP would be great from rolling i bet but a 1/4 mile on standard tyres...mmmm.

trev, 310HP is enough for a daily! You are right though, if you keep tuning then it will be off the road more than on it.
