3.2 is widely renowned the worst XJ40 engine there is lol
It's gutless and the least reliable, I know not your opinion but thats well know.
Twin 6/V12 awesome engineering but also reliabilty issuss ans a furtune to repair.
4.0 sluggy as hell.
3.6 best option for all round use.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
That's not true, mine had done 150k I did 25k in it didn't do a single thing to it, not even a service. Never let me down once, and it was running gas, it's a far less lazy engine than the rest. Still going strong now I think with about 170k on it. I've been playing around with these cars for years now and that's my opinion after driving them all.

Badass!
Thats the main thing, you are happy with it now!
I have looked into getting one for ages, the one I knew local to me same color as this has gone now, it was sitting in the same spot for over a year and just vanished one day.
Gotta hand it to you mate, after all what you've been through you are still doing so much and you're so talented. That model car looks superb

Cant beat a jag.. Well you can actually but still good to own one once in a while.
Just service the axle and keep a check on the electrics. WD40 the fuel cap catch now and then and you should be fine.
I worked for Jags for a bit and had a fair bit of fun racing them a few years back.
A nice set of Jag cibie fog lights under the bumper would go well..

Ignore that it wasn't showing at first
I have to agree I've been tempted to fit some, see what they cost

Will do Richie mate.
Yeah still at it mate I'll have to update the thread.
I forgot to say here, I had to get my rear hubs changed as rear bearings kept collapsing and I diagnosed it as fecked alloy hubs in the end.
My mate removed these off of another xj40 and when I had then fitted it turned out they were X300 so I then had to buy callipers, cable and pipes to match lol free hubs turned into expensive change over!
But now no more noise from the rear as I had thiught the diff was noisy.

I also managed to grab some nice XJR wheels to use as winter wheels next winter as this winters over now I think lol
I'm going to get them repainted before I use them too.

Here they are fitted on the XJ40 I had them from...

PassionFord Post Whore!!
What at the hell? Not been on for ages so definitely missed loads of comments and facts so not up to date. Someone hit you head on from what I remember? And your jag was a car to keep you going mod wise and helped being an auto?
Sorry to ask in a blunt fashion. But I don't know how to butter it up so to speak (I guess a direct approach is a better way to ask rather than a sympathy type approach?)so apologies if I'm coming across a bit blunt and direct.

Thanks lads.
Few recent pics, some from shows I've taken her to.
She's been a great all girl for attention can't take her anywhere without people's necks braking as they spon to look at her. I love it lol
She's also gone doqn well at shows, not heard more than a few negative comments from the Jag purists, but their usually old so I chuckle.
As I'm still having to use my wheel chair, peoples faces when I park in a disabled spot like wtf is he doing, then I get my chair out the boot and they feel silly.
Anyway here is...
Fitted a new boot spoiler lip, only subtle. I have the TWR one but decided against it.
