The rear arb's are easy enough to do, but the front ones are a bit awkward as they sit on top of sub frame. They use the same type of angled bracket as the rears and they are held on with 2 13mm bolts. I'm going to use a 2ft breaker bar and try getting at them from the top side as there is limited space. Then I can reach in under the wheel arch to fit the new ones. That's the plan whenever I get around to doing them .

Its off to the garage for them, as the lovely Sam's aware my back is fudged. Lugging wheels around has left me somewhat immobile so no chance I'm doing them
I would like to know what car you come from in that you think it is good on fuel... I had a 1.6 zetec mk1 focus and it was terrible on fuel!!!
Well, I got 500 mixed miles (motorway and country roads) for Ł55. I don't spend much more on this than my old 1.0 Micra. It costs about the same on the motorway as my old 2.0 TDI, 1.9DI, 1.3 petrols, cheaper on long runs than when I hired a 1.0 Pug 107 (brand new), cheaper than my mums 1.2 brand new Clio on the motorway. Costs about the same as my stepdads Z4, cheaper to run than my dad's 2.0 hyundai coupe. Granted it's not as cheap as my old 903cc Panda... but everything has a limit.
Oh and there's always the mini, that can empty it's tank just thinking about moving.
Maybe you just had a bad one? Or a very heavy right foot?
Why on earth are you running drums on the front of the mini! The least you can do is get a cooper s conversion from minispares it's only Ł210! Granted you'll require hubs etc, but it's still cheap compared to not being able to stop

Stops from 30 in under a car length and I have a full disc conversion sat ready to go on. However well maintained drums do a decent job.
