Default Mods and Rockers Show

We got invited to a 60's-70's Mods and Rocker Show but didn't really think it would be the done thing to turn up with new cars so had a ride over on our bikes.

Kevin Frost from the Notts Group Won Best of Show with his MK1 RS2000, plus Steve and Jay would of loved it as they had a outdoor DJ playing Ska and Two Tone

I was gong to say I bet most of them were road there. I'm in Darlington and think nothing of a jaunt to the Isle of Wight (ridden 330m) . Here's a pic loaded up for a recent rally this was only a 100m each way but all the same it was ridden.

My mate normally does a few runs down at Santa pod. He's got one of the fastest road going lambretta's in the country. 10 k in the motor.

How much would it cost to buy something like yours ?

There was one there Sunday that without being rude was a road legal scrapper for £1200, surely you would need 6k+ to even begin thinking ?

It depends on what you want. There's that many variations in the scooter scene (as in any scene) italian , indian series 1,2 or 3 road rat(scrapper) , custom , streetracer ,mod or just a good old Arthur Francis 'S' Type which is my choice. You could probably pickup a good tuned lambretta between 4 to 6 grand. All be it with advice ! My scoot is like an old ford its worth what somebody will pay

Nice to see and hear that they get used. I thought most of them would just be put in a van and took out at the show.

Don't get me wrong Glenn there will be some that do that. But we in Darlington scooter club pride ourselves on being a road going club. We do mainly national and lambretta club of GB rally's which are all road going miles from one end of the country to the other. Do you know any of the darlo boys or girls ?

The lines look smoother on the rear Daz as some can look quite bulky or fat, that is beautiful mate

I know it would help !
