After the end of Cortina/Taunus production machines and tools were transferred from Colone and Genk to Turkey and Argentina. In Argentina also a coupé was built.

It is a nice car, altough it would have been nice to have the cologne V6 instead the 2.3 lima engine that it carry. The paint sheme is the original, the black stripes and all that was origina at that time (1982). This is an "SP" model (special performance) it used to have 10 more horsepower than the stock model (132 bhp)

And now...
Still got lots to do, refurbing some alloys right now. Stainless exhaust coming soon and bigger brakes soon too.
Needs a good wash too!

I hope nobody minds me bringing this back from page 2.
My first post on here.
The day I collected.
And how she's looking now.
I've just got the new windscreen, brakes and suspension to go on, and it can go through the MOT.
And then a Zetec swap as soon as funds allow.

Before
Needed a patch on each sill (I will possibly replace the lot at some point but needed it back on road), seatbelt mounts welding, replacement centre belt, sump gasket and fuel leak stopping. It has since had a replacement Power Steering cooler too as that gave up the day I got it back from welding.
After:
Needs side skirts reattaching but I haven't had chance yet. Want to tidy up the remainder of the sill first.
Not too bad for a 205k 16 year old!
