Less than 11k I believe, I have only had it a few weeks so haven't done much to it yet. Waiting on a set of springs arriving for it and have to fit my stereo yet, and a few wee marks to get tidied up on it. Then in the new year new rims, exhaust, filter, smart top etc....etc..

What do they handle like? Always wonder what they'd be like with st/ rs power. Seen a couple with the st/ rs bumpers etc

I believe a lot of them got returned to Ford as they had more leaks than Ian Beale's market stall.

Ford set up special training courses at the time for master techs to go and learn how to (try) and stop water leaks on them.

Had one customer that if he parked with 2 wheels on the kerb, the body flex allowed water to piss in.

They handle ok, considering my last car was a Puma engined mk5 Fiesta on coilovers it's perhaps not a fair comparison lol. My mum has a 2011 mk2 Focus sport and with the roof up the CC feels more or less the same to drive. With the roof down you can feel the car is less ridged but still handles fine. Any way these arrived today so should sharpen things up a bit

Thankfully mine seems pretty water tight. The only thing of note is a tiny dribble down the rear quarter windows when you get too close with the power washer. Oh and when the boot lid is wet you need to open it slowly or else the drain holes cant cope with the volume of water and runs down into the boot

While only lowering the car 30mm it certainly has made a difference to the looks. Corners much better and dosnt pitch and dive under acceleration, and braking anymore. The comfort hasn't suffered to much either which is good in my old age lol

Yea it handles much better, the car cornered well enough as standard but it sort of had the felling that it was about to fall over, also now the nose dosen't lift or dive under acceleration and braking

I saw a very nice one of these heading toward Chelmsford on the A130 today. It was black, lowered, small suptle kit on it, tinted windows and looked like fiesta st alloys - the multi spokes and a low boot lip spoiler.

Very clean looking cars, smooth lines. I really like em but I do have a a hatchback mk2 so prob a bit bias anyway lol

So I was getting fed up with the crappy standard headunit. So decided to get my finger out and install my headunit and bluetooth to keep me going until I can get time to fit my sub, amp and speakers

some how all that had to fit behind my dashboard.

Did a trial fit of where I wanted to fit the USB connection, in the Fiesta it was run to the glovebox and it always annoyed me having this cable hanging from the top of the glovebox. Also I was reluctant to potentially start chopping holes in a refrigerated glovebox. So decided that the best position was in the pocket that comes with the fascia adaptor. At least if I messed it up it would be a cheap fix.

When I finally got the standard radio out (why is there always one clip that wont release), I was surprised by how much room there was behind the dash, much much more than in the Fiesta. I put this down to the fact the control panel for the heater is very thin compared to one that has twiddly knobs. I installed the bluetooth module in the space behind the heater panel, then fitted the headunit.

So just had to fit the microphone, I was going to fit it in the factory potion which is in the wee grill by the interior light, but decided against this as I was worried it would pick up wind noise when the roof was down. I also did not want to upset the pillar and roof seals by removing trim, my car doesn't leak and want it to stay that way lol. So decided to mount it just in front of the rev counter behind the steering wheel

Realised I haven't updated this in ages...... Well if truth be told not a lot to update lol

Finally got round to getting a new set of front components. On the recommendation of Audio Advice I went for a set of Hurtz, not a brand I had ever heard off but took AA at their word and I must say they sound great. I also took the opportunity to move the tweeter from the factory location to the a pillar, which certainly improves the sound stage and imaging from the factory location.

Also had the doors fully dynamatted and the door cards lined to stop any traces of resonance from the doors.

Got a bass control knob fitted, allows the gain level of the subwoofer to be easily adjusted, handy as it allows you to adjust the bass level depending on if the roof is up or down

Shortly afterwards my sub expired, so had it replaced with another MTX and fitted a Pioneer mono block amp to run it, so the Kenwood is now running in two channel mode.

So the car has numerous wee bumps and dings due to the previous owners inability to navigate in confined spaces.

So I left it into TK Motors in Bangor to have them fixed. As well as what you can see in the photo I am also had the rear bumper, drivers door and drivers side rear quarter painted too

How it sits at the moment
