this was my second fiesta a 1.3 with xr2 front end and capri laser alloys. it was about 1994 and i was a young 18

And, also in 1981, was using this '69 Mustang 351 as my daily car



All before I was 25 - thank God for Adrian Flux insurance and Exchange & Mart for parts. How did we manage without the Internet and Google? And all built in a lock-up, behind the flats where I lived in Hackney, North London.

Now, 30+ years later I lift a bonnet on a modern car and wonder where to start. Hence I bought my GTi estate as a gentle way of getting back into things.
